"The hotel is located within the Iguacu Falls National Park, which allows us the freedom to visit the falls more than once and when the weather was more favourable (it had been raining non stop for the past 3 days). As taxis a and private hire cars are unable to enter the park, the hotel provides a shuttle service to ferry their guests from the National Park entrance to the hotel (11km distance, 20-minute journey).
The hotel staff was wonderful, from reception staff to housekeeping to the wait...
"5 star attention to customer service, clean, quiet and peaceful. If you need to relax and be taken care of this is the best place. Special mention to Isabel, Patricia, Luis and Ramiro, really went above and beyond for our comfort and needs. The whole staff is outstanding. Magnificent facility if there’s anything to add would be a money exchange, besides that it’s all you could ask for in a vacation."
"I was very impressed by the property and the staff. Everyone was very helpful and friendly. It looks like they have expansion plans to make the place even more amazing. The rooms were comfortable. The beds were very firm but I liked them. The air conditioning was very cold. The drinks were good and reasonably priced. They had adequate games. We enjoyed the bowling. Also the massage was well priced and very good. I would go back again and recommend to others. "
"Mind blowing location with views of the waterfall from every part of the hotel. Also, the red level is worth it… food better than at the restaurant and service is exceptional. "
"Location was near supermarket, restaurants. Hotel was clean and staff were friendly.Breakfast had a variety of food.Rooftop pool with restaurant and bar was a nice area to sit & look out over the surrounding area."

The hotel staff was wonderful, from reception staff to housekeeping to the wait staff in the bar and restaurant. We did the cachaça experience and learnt a lot about the iconic brazilian liquor.
The hotel room was perfect. We got upgraded to a deluxe room with garden view. The room was clean, beautiful and spacious, befitting of a colonial-style hotel. The reception staff was very accommodating to our early arrival and got us a room promptly. Thank you very much!
Taking full advantage as hotel guests, we walked the falls trail twice, once in the afternoon (cloudy sky) and once more the following morning (clear blue sky). Our only regret was that the full moon tour was cancelled, despite the sky having cleared up. In the end, we could only admire the falls and the moon rainbow at the viewpoint right outside the hotel; the trail was closed and we were not allowed to access it without a guide. Would've been wonderful to have been able to see the moon rainbow at Salto San Maria!"

"We had our previous flight delayed so we could only enjoy the hotel for 3 hours.
Although it was a short stay, it has been one of the best ever!
Alexander at the front desk was very accommodating and allowed us an extra hour check-out to get ready for our next leg of our journey home - it was priceless!!
Next time around we will make sure to stay a lot longer.
It looks like a brand new building, with very very comfortable bed, the staff was very pleasing and to us the most important in this trip, a hot and strong shower!
If you are planning to arrive or leave by bus, it doesn't get any better, only 50 meters separate the Luz from the bus station.
On a plus side, they have excursions to Argentina and Paraguay that can be booked very easily and cheap. "
