The property was clean and in a great location- we were with our two adult daughters for a last vacation before one of them gets married-
Great spot for families-
Great location, amenities on property, deck, etc….. the one negative was the C+ at best on how clean it was. I know that’s the cleaning crew. They certainly need to do better for what you’re paying and charging. A pretty steady amount of women’s long hair all around. I’d look to change cleaning companies. When 5 dudes notice it’s not real clean upon check in, that’s clearly a C at best.
This is a really cute place. It had everything we needed in the kitchen and was generally really well stocked. The location is fantastic with a coffee shop, bar and restaurant around the corner and the beach not too much further! Definitely would recommend.

June 2024 stay
Okay location but this property has an ant problem literally hundreds in the kitchen I guess all the cans of raid should have been a big red flag. Window units
Meg and her husband were terrific hosts! They helped with great recommendations for restaurants, shopping, and beach access. The rental is just as described in the property's profile. Early June seemed like a great time to be in town: not too crowded and everything was open.
We enjoyed both nearby beaches and explored Block Island one day during our 4-day stay. Ocean Mist, a short walk from the property is a cool bar. I wouldn't call the food gourmet, but it was a decent meal and the drinks were good. Was a pretty cool band doing sound check as we were leaving.
Matunuk Pizza Pie Company has really good pizza and awesome subs. It's also a short walk from the property.
All in all, an awesome trip and well worth the 6-hour drive for our family.
When I saw this listing, it just felt right, we needed a place to be close to my grandmother and some where that brought peace during this difficult time. This fit perfectly with our needs. Thank you!
Perfect location, very quiet and comfortable. Owner was very helpful and the outdoor space was wonderful. The back deck overlooked the marsh which was filled with wild life, it was so peaceful. Front deck off of master bedroom you can watch the sunrise, it over looked the pond and a small part of the ocean. You can hear the waves in a distance. This place was in the best location and the price was right. Several places within walking distances a pub, a bar with local bands. Also within walking distance is a surfing, and fishing beach where we saw fly surfing it was called deep hole and there was another one 3-5 mins drive away that was good for swimming and laying in the sun. I was able to watch the sunset from this beach. Beds were comfortable one queen in master and two in the second bedroom. South Kingston was a quaint cute town.
Nice place near a couple great beaches, a local surf shop restaurants, grocery and ice cream shop! It was clean and had everything you needed. A big back deck was lovely to hang out and the master bed with balcony was amazing! Could have stayed an entire week to just relax out there. It was very humid during our stay so we kept the air conditioning and dehumidifier on which helped. Everything still felt a little damp though which had nothing to do with the property just the weather. The bedroom with two twin beds didn’t get much wind but the air conditioner helped a lot!
We were surprised by how clean it was and how close it is to everything. The neighborhood is very peaceful and quiet and the house is very charming. We really enjoyed the full kitchen and grill on the deck. Everything about the home is clean and cozy, we enjoyed it very much.
We had a wonderful time here! The house was just as described and the location cannot be beat. We walked to the 2 nearby (and very clean) beaches as well as restaurants daily. Other fun attractions in Naragansett are only 15 minutes away, too. This is definitely the place for you if you love the ocean and/or surfing.
The house was clean, well supplied, quiet and comfortable! The owner was helpful, responsive, and clear with her communication. The beauty and peace of the outdoor spaces can’t be overstated. I didn’t realize that somewhere so close to the beach in a densely populated area could be so quiet! The back deck abuts a marsh with truly amazing birds and all you can hear is the rustling of the natural plant life. The balcony off the larger bedroom has views of the pond, a sliver of ocean, and the sounds of the surf.
The beach was an easy walk, even with little kids. An even shorter walk is “deep hole”, a rocky beach to look through tide pools and watch the surfers (not suitable for sunbathing or swimming with kids). There is a coffee/breakfast/light lunch food truck and a pizza shop about 2 minutes away by foot.
The only negatives we encountered were an impressive number of mosquitoes after a few days of rain (not specific to the rental - the whole area was plagued!) and trying to keep the kids quiet for our duplex neighbors. Small prices to pay for all the pleasure of the rental!
Thanks Meg! We hope to be back soon.
