I am hiking a section of the Te Araroa trail from Auckland to Hamilton and came across Heavens Rest as a logistical stop. I stayed in a 1 bedroom cottage and couldn’t have been more impressed with the tranquility after a long hike, comfy bed and fridge filled with juice, fresh milk, eggs, bread and yogurt. Robert even drove me back to the trail in the morning - highly recommend

Excellent stay. The hotel was superb. The room was clean, the wireless charges on the bedside tables were a great idea. The staff were extremely friendly, helpful and attentive. The breakfast was lovely too. The only one issue I had is that I had to pay extra for a decaf coffee with my breakfast. It should be free.

Room spotlessly clean, luxurious soft bed and covers, exactly what I needed after 2 long haul flights. Staff very helpful and kind.

This is a small and comfortable motel with 17 rooms two of which have disabled access. The manager and his wife went to great lengths to make our stay free from trouble. The cleaning staff were very friendly and helpful and did an excellent job. There is also safe off road parking.

It ticked all the boxes for an overnight stay before flying out in the morning.

Handy for access to the international airport. Great breakfast and quick check-in at midnight. Secure left luggage facilities were not in use on the day we were there, but had staff monitoring the area. Would use again.

Well kept room, easy check in and out. Staff friendly and helpful

All I needed was there. The staff were helpful and the ride to the airport relatively quick. Its not posh but clean, the bed is comfortable, tea, coffee and a few snacks were provided. Microwave, car parking and the gates were secured at night. Thank you .

Shuttle to airport comes to the hotel door roughly every 30 mins and takes 50 mins as this is the first pickup. Hotel very clean and staff very friendly and helpful. We had a meal in the restaurant and quality was high. Would stay here again

An excellent motel with very friendly staff. The motel is being upgraded and an already excellent facility will be even better. Highly recommended.

Easy to find. Quiet location. Comfortable beds. Good bathroom and toiletries and fluffy towels. Nice to have a swimming pool. It was small and cold but very refreshing. The air con was welcome. Well equipped kitchen with ample tea and coffee supplies and fresh milk. Missing a tea pot but otherwise great. Would happily stay again.

Immaculate room and everyone was really helpful - but I knew this anyway as I had stayed there before

The room was very clean and the bed was super comfy. Black out curtains for a good nights sleep. Not easy to have windows open to aid airflow (no AC) as on the first floor and people walking past. But overall the room was great.
