Sonny Bono Salton Sea National Wildlife Refuge Visitor Center

Easy to check in. Staff were very friendly. Rooms were nice and clean. Continental breakfast was good. Just enough to tide you over. Great location!

Great location. Charming architecture.

The check in staff initially gave us wristbands and direction to an already occupied room. Once that was cleared up and we were given accurate information to an unoccupied room, we found the room itself clean and tidy. We decided to go to the on-site bar and upon entry were told the area we walked in to from the hotel entrance was reserved for a special event. We were directed to the other end of the area. We checked in to thr host and he seated us quickly. We were one of 2 couples in the corner area. The waitress brought us waters and delivered the menu. 15 minutes passed with not a sign of our waitress. Another waitress that had a different area looked at us several times, at one point I raised my hand like we were ready but she just looked away. We left and went to another establishment for a cocktail. In the morning, went down to the lobby to get coffee and the barista was rather rude trying to order the coffee. Nice room, won't stay at another Margaritaville, won't recommend to friends to stay.
