"Excellent communication from host & easy check in with key lock. Room was spacious & comfortable for our family of 4. The only negative was that we hadn’t realised that bathroom would be downstairs, which resulted in the kids being a bit anxious about going on their own, as it’s a shared house and they weren’t comfortable wandering around the house on their own with strangers. Not a problem for the adults, but the kids weren’t comfortable. "

"A lovely stay that exceeded our first impressions! We chose this hotel as a base for our visit to Alton Towers, and overall we had a really pleasant stay. Arriving at around 10:30pm, with the surrounding streets almost deserted, we did wonder what we’d booked ourselves into! 😂 Thankfully, our initial apprehension was completely unnecessary. The staff were genuinely friendly and welcoming, and the convenient parking was a real bonus. The building itself is quite old, which brings plenty of character, with lovely high ceilings and some beautiful period features. Of course, with an older building come a few quirks, including some slightly musty smells in places. We booked a family room and were delighted to discover that it was actually two separate rooms, each with its own bathroom. This was a lovely surprise and worked brilliantly for us as a family. The bedrooms were beautifully decorated and felt very clean. The bathrooms, however, would benefit from a little more attention to detail when it comes to cleaning. Breakfast was another positive, with plenty of choice for everyone. Overall, we were pleasantly surprised by our stay. The hotel has plenty of character, the staff were lovely and the accommodation was much more spacious than we’d expected. There are a few areas that could benefit from some attention, but these certainly didn’t spoil our visit. We’d happily consider staying again when visiting Alton Towers."

"My husband and I stayed for a couple of nights. We had an accessible room as my husband has mobility problems which was fine but we were at the back of the property, near to the leisure club and there wasn't step free access internally to get to the restaurant for breakfast or an evening meal. Fortunately for us, the weather was kind so it was nice to get some fresh air and we went around the outside through the car parks to get to the main entrance/reception. I enjoyed the pool facilities which never got really busy so that was nice. Steam room could have been steamier for my liking. The trees and setting with a golf course were beautiful."

"Staff were amazing and very helpful. Had the room ready for us at 12.30 because they knew how busy it was going to be they wanted all rooms ready. They even brought a travel cot to the room for us after requesting only 5 minutes earlier. Right in the centre. Very good price for where it was located. Parking also good but gets very busy quickly so would recommend getting there before check in."
