"The guest farm property is very beautiful and the temperatures were cooler than Windhoek. We enjoyed walking to one of the rock pools for a swim in a wonderful natural setting, and walking to the lake on the property for birdwatching. The “comfort” room we booked was indeed comfortable with more attractive decor than shown in the listing! "Incredible place...peaceful and quiet, safe and secure, family-friendly, couple-friendly, such nice chalets. Shop in the front with some goods/groceries you might need, restaurant coming soon. "Had an amazing 2 night stay here, the location is incredible, set against the mountains with an endless view across the desert. Staff are super friendly and welcoming, rooms are great with good AC, especially liked the terrace off the room where you can watch the sunset, sunsets here are incredible. The breakfast and dinner was ok, not amazing, but the location and staff made up for the food quality. "

"We hadn't originally intended staying in Solitaire, but rescheduling issues meant we slotted this lodge in at the last minute. I hadn't been optimistic about what we'd find - after all, Solitaire is a small, very remote place. But I was pleasantly surprised. The staff were very friendly and helpful; the rooms comfortable, a good size and in excellent condition; the restaurant area is terrific and the food very good; the surroundings are quite charming, with a scattered collection of old cars....
