10/10 Excellent

"I had a lovely stay. The room was lovely and clean and the bed really comfortable. The beer and cocktails prices in the bar were very good but spirits with a mixer were very expensive at £8.40 for a vodka and tonic.. They do an amazing mud slide cocktail with ice cream. The best think about my stay was the wonderful Michaels on the reception desk. She was warm and welcoming. I needed to get something photo copied and she was beyond helpful. It’s also 5min drive from the beautiful Doddington hall. I would definitely stay there again."

"Clean place, staff excellent and helpful. Bedroom was fine: again, very clean and pleasant but quite small and plain. Breakfasts good and generous. Evening menu lacks any salads or healthy options. Pub and bar too busy to ever get a seat on Saturday. Convenient, central to town."

"It was easy to find and there was space in the car park which was very convenient. We were given a lovely warm chocolate cookie on arrival and were able to check in by 1.30 pm which was also helpful. The upstairs bar had a small outdoor balcony with great views over the water. The choice at breakfast was excellent if a little cramped when busy as it was a help yourself. Great value stay!"

"Good food and drink at the pub that is separate from the accommodation. Slight problem on check in as they had given us a double room instead of a twin, despite sending an email prior to arrival requesting a twin. Staff shortages meant it was a while before the bed situation was sorted but we were in the bar by then so not really an issue. The receptionist was apologetic and keen to resolve the issue so bonus points to her."

"Our stay was excellent.. the hotel is spotlessly clean.. staff very polite and helpful.. parking to the rear of hotel is very good.. l thought noise in the room which was on the main street through town might be a problem but this was unfounded..had an excellent nights sleep.."

"Room was better than expected based on reviews, they do need some updating but it was absolutely fine for our stay. Communal areas were nice and we enjoyed our breakfast. We will be back next year for the next reunion."
