Good luck to the new owners of this venture, they all worked hard to make us welcome.
Breakfast freshly cooked and excellent value
Evening meals as above.
Would recommend this place to anyone, and we would return again
Brilliant hotel. Cosy place (which even had the pub dog greeting us which was amazing!).
Only thing preventing this from being 5 stars was the shower facilities. Shower faucet is restrictive which can cause issues if you’re not wanting to get your hair wet. Maybe disposable shower caps could be provided to help this issue.
Other than that though a fantastic place in a peaceful location. Would definitely stay again!
We were surprised on arrival to be given an apartment as we had only booked a double room. As we were there for a few nights it was good to have the extra space and kitchen facilities. Everything was clean and comfortable and had everything we needed. We understand that this is a new venture and there were one or two things that hadn't quite been finished off but overall it was a good stay. We ate in the pub on one night and the food was excellent. Maybe one or two more options for gluten free. We were surprised at how busy the road was but the rooms further away would probably be quieter. Although on the outskirts of Skipton there is a good path down to town and it was very convenient. Easy access by road from the bypass too. Good car parking on site.
Right on the doorstep of the Yorkshire Dales sets an idyllic location for this friendly pub/ hotel. Very friendly welcome with exceptional hospitality. The room was clean and of a good size, a very comfortable stay and the staff could not be more helpful. This property is also very pet friendly. Highly recommended
Lovely place to stay while visiting relatives.
Loved that our room had out door entrance.
Perfect for our little dog too.
Views are amazing and great for walking too
Rooms are small, but recently refurbished, bright and very clean. Staff are friendly and helpful, but business has recently reopened and there are still processes that need to be sorted out.
None of the above. The hotel was dreadful. No roaring fire...no evening meal/food...no breakfast.
I have stayed in better Truck stops.

Disliked: Staff & service, amenities
“Bar only opened five weeks ago”; “kitchen only opened three weeks ago”; “we’re new and never run a hotel before”. WiFi didn’t work, consequently smart TV didn’t either. It was a bit like walking into someone’s front room
Arrived Monday afternoon, member of staff said the chef had done a runner, on the Tuesday another member of staff said the chef had a day off, on the Wednesday another member of staff said the chef had taken an extra day off and offered us tea and coffee and cornflakes foc.
The bar closed at 5 so if you wanted an evening meal you had to order early, that is if the chef was in. Sorry i cant give this hotel a rating, and the shower was hopless.
Clean rooms clean towels which smelled lovely clean bed and the bedding smelled lovely. The facilities are fairly new so my stay in new facilities was a nice experience. The pub facilities is nice and small in a sense of local pub. Small outside seating area which is very pleasant overlooking the fields. The staff are so friendly and helpful. I would definitely stay there again when I venture up to Skipton. Location to Skipton 5 minutes drive probably 25 minute walk.
