"This hotel was recently updated but could still use some updates in the showers. Old blue tile and blue tub. The hallway had an awful smell , luckily the other entrance was ok. The room was good, beds were comfortable."

Cranberry Lake New York - Year Round Cottage

"This place was a dream. It was the quiet I needed in a place that I love. Laying out on the upstairs balcony in the dark looking up at the stars will be a memory that gets me through stress at home. The cabin was cozy, but roomy. Definitely space for 6. The cabin is across the street from the lake shore, but an easy walk down through the owner's property. The Cranberry Lake primitive state park trails are a short walk away along with a plethora of other trails to pick from within a short drive. My dog and I hiked 20 miles on one day alone with rarely a person in site...unlike the High Peaks this time of year! Only down side was that I did not receive an email to help me know how to get in (as stated in the Orbitz site). The owner was available by phone to assist, but cell phone connection can be touchy, so a secure email with details would have been helpful to refer to. If that is not possible, then it should not be stated as such on the Orbitz or Vrbo sites. Also, for rainy day entertainment, you will need your own wifi, games, or a few good books to read. Definitely a place to go back to!"

"Relaxing is the first word I would use to describe this charming cabin. After we settled in, we turned on the fireplace and sat in the cozy living room reading. Everything from the towels to pots and pan were high quality. The beds were comfortable, the linens soft and everything was super clean. We enjoyed the screen in porch that overlooked a gully. Tupper Lake and the Wild Center with the Trolls was a quick ride in the car. Stephan was quick to respond to our inquiries. We would highly recommend."

"Each year in mid-September we travel from our home in NYC to a lake house location "up north". We look for a secluded location on a smaller lake that is peaceful and quiet - with a "swimmable" dock and waterfront, comfortable accommodations, a grill to grill on, a fire pit to sit by in the evening, and kayaks to spend some relaxing time on the water. This year we found everything we desired and more at Oak Hill. It's important to note that Oak Hill is just like the description on the website. Some listings aren't. The steps down to the house and then on down to the dock/beach are safe and the hand rails are very sturdy, which is not always the case with lake homes. It was perfect for our needs. The house and grounds were immaculate. The beds were extremely comfortable. We made full use of the kayaks, paddle board, and especially enjoyed exploring the lake on the pontoon boat, upon which we enjoyed sunsets with the neighboring loons. When "civilization" was required for supplies, Oak Hill was less than a half-hour's scenic drive from anything we needed. We highly recommend Oak Hill."
