The place was dirty and poorly maintained -the room looked like it hadnā€™t been properly cleaned in a long time. The surroundings also felt unsafe, especially at night, with little to no lighting or security presence. For the price, I expected at least basic cleanliness and a sense of safety, but unfortunately, this stay was very uncomfortable. There are definitely better options nearby. Short walk one way to the main shopping/restaurants/Pier area and the other direction is a beautiful beach. The manager was great and was always helpful and friendly as were all the staff. The restaurant served the best food. Rooms are spacious but could do with a little maintenance. The pool was under maintenance and nobody was able to use it. For some reason the bins never got emptied and also the WiFi wasnā€™t brilliant unfortunately. It does need a bit of TLC and could do with an update - particularly for bathrooms in the bungalows. The water was discoloured and the drains were smelly, particularly after heavy rain. We booked two bungalows for 6 days. We found bugs on the mattress in one of the bungalows and made the management aware. They changed bungalows for us but the alternate bungalow was much smaller and had a bad mosquito problem. :( On the upside, it does have a lovely, immaculately clean swimming pool, which is open in the afternoons. The main part of the pool is quite deep as it's used for scuba dive training, which is something to be aware of if you are there with kids. There is however a small, shallow pool that they could play in. The beach is also nice and staff at the restaurant are kind and attentive. It is a short walk - 5-10 mins to a load of restaurants, bars and shops but is still quiet at night time, which is nice. They also pick you up and drop you off to the main pier by boat, which is nice. Be aware that you have to pay in cash for the accommodation, so make sure you bring enough as there are no ATMs on the island You can pay your restaurant bill on a card though. ##### Andrea Stayed 1 night in Mar 2025 ### 8/10 Good #### William 16 Jan 2024 Liked: Staff & service Disliked: Cleanliness We stayed for four days, Jan 11-15/24\. What did we like: 1\. Mr. Bangladesh, the Manager is awesome! 2\. We had breakfast at the house Restaurant twice and both times it was good. 3\. Location is fantastic! Literally you are on the beach. 4\. You are not located downtown so itā€™s quiet. Itā€™s a 15 minute walk to town. 5\. The price was very reasonable. What you have to get used to: 1\. Internet is not great. 2\. They are running on a generator and as a result it goes down for service twice a day for a total of 3 hours. 3\. We had no A/C the first night. The second night the water pump failed but it was fixed by morning. 4\. We found mould in our washroom. The Resort needs a makeover. I appreciate its a treehouse with an amazing view but our bungalow (T5) had holes in the floor, no hot water, leaks in the roof (during the beginning of rainy season), noisy fan, dripping aircon unit, blocked drain in the very dated and rundown bathroom. Its overpriced for what it is. We had two meals there, the second was a breakfast with two dishes having hollandaise sauce - it was a unique taste. The pool will bring an added draw, when its finished. Take a torch, its remote and not the smoothest of paths to and from. Service was timely when used, the door lock is a padlock which meant we couldn't lock the door at night, we used our back packs. A dog sometimes slept outside our door too, harmless but just to let you know. Take mozzie spray, there seemed to be more in this resort area than anywhere else. Very responsive when an additional pillow and sheet were requested. Toilet paper, toothpaste/brush and shower gel are all supplied in the rooms. We enjoyed the experience but wouldn't stay here again for the price we paid. It was somewhere to sleep and shower.
