This typical Siena country home rental sits on the right corner of the property and is accessed from 2 welcoming terraces in front of the house. The large arched glass door lead you right into the large open living area, with lounge, fireplace and fully equipped kitchen. The back of the house hosts a double bedroom and a twin bedroom, each with its own bathroom. The two other double bedrooms, one bathroom with shower and a laundry room sit in the semi basement below the living area. The front terraces are partially covered and equipped with tables, chairs, loungers, BBQ and sun umbrellas. Borgo la Chiusa was part of an ancient convent just outside the walls of Siena, offering guests wonderful views, peaceful environment and one independent villa and two deliciously restored to detached houses with Siena terracotta floors, stone walls, beamed ceilings and very beautiful finishing touches. The outside of each house offers a well kept garden, a lovely patio with table, chairs and BBQ for outside eating and relaxing. Everywhere is immaculate inside and out. Well equipped and very comfortable. Good sized pool area with loungers and parasols all in good condition. In front of villa was a bbq, a large very comfortable seating area with large parasol and a separate dining area. There was also an inner courtyard with pizza oven. The pictures honestly don’t do justice to the sweeping views and the pristine condition of this four-bedroom villa in a multi-home compound. Yes, I said four bedrooms, which are pictured here even though the listing only says there are three. That was a nice surprise so my children didn’t have to share. It’s also a great spot in central Tuscany to tour much of the region. We also so very much appreciated the owner accommodating us when we had two things go wrong – first, I landed in the hospital when we scheduled our original trip so we had to postpone at the last minute. And then travel mishaps when we finally made it had us arriving many hours later than we anticipated, after 10p. It's two floors with a downstairs basement that stays cool. The outside area by the apartment is lovely, three different private areas for eating, lounging and sitting, with good shade and sun depending what you want. The pool is perfect, really nice quality with almost infinity pool vibe where the water is perfectly level. There are a couple of neighbour villas which gave a bit of atmosphere but people generally kept to themselves so it still felt private. The pool temperature was perfect, cool yet comfortable. We spent nearly half the holiday relaxing and reading by the pool while the kids played for hours. The hosts were pleasant and helpful. Everything about the property was great, and near Siena. We travelled all over tuscany, from pisa to florence to pienza, so a great central base if you want to explore the region. The only downside was, other than siena, quite limited on nearby places to explore, you couldn't really walk anywhere worth visiting, but there is a decent supermarket 5min drive away and a couple of quality restaurants nearby. ##### Tom D.
