Personale davvero molto gentile e disponibile, peccato per tutto il resto. Il posto in sé è molto bello e caratteristico, purtroppo però gli appartamenti sono puliti ma non curati. Porte difficili da chiudere, elettrodomestici scollegati e impossibili da accendere per mancanza di prese adeguate, lampadine mancanti o non funzionanti dai lampadari... Il tutto anche sorvolabile se non fosse per il proprietario della struttura che dovrebbe decisamente contenersi e ridimensionarsi. Ah, non ho capito perché in tutto il paese si effettua la raccolta differenziata mentre nella struttura c'è un unico grande raccoglitore dell'indifferenziata

Attention aux surprises

Il existe deux blocs distincts à la grotta, un côté piscine et campagne, un côté réception et ROUTE passante. Nous avons eu la malchance d'être coté route. Le logement est vieux (comme par exemple le chauffe eau hors d'age et qui ne donne pas d'eau chaude) la route est très passante y compris la nuit. Le bruit est réellement gênant. L'accès à la piscine est un chemin en forte pente (descente et montée). Malgré les dires du propriétaire, la voiture s'avère utile pour s'y rendre. L'ensemble de ces éléments nous a amené à écourter notre séjour. Le propriétaire l'a d'ailleurs bien compris, faisant un geste commercial sur le séjour non effectué.

Netter Agriturismo nahe Siena

Ein paar Hundert Meter abseits der Straße nach Siena liegt auf einem kleinen Hügel dieser Agriturismo mit seinen farblich sehr unterschiedlich gestalteten Appartments. Die Gastgeber sind sehr zuvorkommend.

Excelente lugar para conocer la belleza de Siena

El hotel tiene una vista increible, el dueño es muy amable y nos recomendo el circuito impecable de la Toscana, seguimos su consejo y salio todo maravilloso. Tienen servicio de desayuno y cena en el lugar. Es muy lindo el lugar y cerca muy cerca de Siena con paisajes inmejorables.

We absolutely loved the location.

We loved this region and we enjoying visiting the beautiful city of Sienna. So much to see and do. A clean, beautiful town and the locals should be proud. The surrounding country side is so pretty and I could pack up and move to this beautiful part of Italy. It is an area that should be visited. The local food produce is delicious and we enjoyed visiting the cafes in Sienna. We relied on buses as we did not have a car. I believe a car is essential.

Wunderschöner Ausblick in toskanische Landschaft. Tolles altes Haus in sehr gutem Zustand. Ganz tolles Abendessen, guter Wein! Nur 5 km von Siena!

agriturismo near Siena

Great location for this picturesque farmstay. Great views of the surrounging hills. Good restaurant, but served typical Italian and not Tuscan specialties. Price was reasonable, also because there was a small kitchen in the apartment for breakfast and some meals. The kitchen was not furnished though and we had to buy even the basics like salt, sugar and oil. Also, our rooms were seperate from the pool and main building and the interior of the apartment was quite rustic and could have been decorated with a bit more care. I would return here for the location and good views, but ask for a different apartment.

Rustic self-catering at a fantastic site in Tuscany

La Grotta is a fantastic site with large grounds including vineyard and olive groves. There are lots of lawned areas with outdoor seating and a good sized pool. A barbecue is also available. It is situated about 5 miles from Siena. There is a bus to Siena running about hourly - cheap - but you have to buy tickets in advance. My first taste of Italian self-catering. The appartment had rustic charm, but was basic by British/French self-catering standards. The toilet/shower was accessed through one of the two bedrooms. No easy chairs at all so when it got dark/cold outside you had to sit on a wooden bench or your bed !! Owner was very helpful with local advice on places to visit. He even went to get us bus tickets when we were stranded due to a car hire problem. Auto Europa let us down badly (not booked through Expedia !!) and we had to go by bus to Firenze for a replacement car only to find that they didn't have one. A good place to relax by the pool/in the grounds but a good centre for visiting Siena and Tuscan hill-top towns. Owner provides breakfast (5 Euro) and an evening Tuscan meal (18 Euro) but we did not use this service.
