This is a budget hotel done right, it doesn't have to be flash but it needs to be clean and for the staff to be interested, we had a lovely stay here and would definitely recommend to my friends

A small budget hotel done properly! Clean and comfortable the staff and owner are so helpful and very friendly, I would come back and I would recommend to my friends. It's in a quiet spot on a concrete road - which is quite important as there is not as much dust and dirt from the street. A big tick

A hidden gem!
A little off the busy streets of Siem Reap but still easily walkable to pub street (or $2 in a readily available tuk-tuk) and definitely worth it. Very welcoming with a drink and small gift on arrival, the hotel are very eco-friendly and a clear selling point for the conscientious traveller. Staff were forthcoming with help and always very polite. The hotel has a real family feel with the owner's children in and out of the restaurant area; his daughter even took our lunch order one day! We got a great price for 3 nights and impressed with the facilities, although in September and rainy season we sadly didn't get chance to use the pool. We were really impressed with the food; everything cooked fresh in front of you and a nice mix of western and local choices. Not an extensive menu but we ate a variety happily during our stay. We'd definitely return if in Siem Reap again

I've stayed at several guest houses in Cambodia and this one is my favorite. It's got a very charming and quaint ambiance. It felt very romantic and I especially appreciated the cleanliness and customer service is outstanding. It's in a great area very close to Pub Street. I'll definitely stay here again when in Siem Reap

Wonderful place
I stayed in The Rose Apple for five days and i really love this place. When i arrived at the airport, the driver had already waiting for me to take me to the hotel. Tim and the staffs are very friendly and helpful and they provide different local information for me. I really enjoy talking with them because they make me feel at home. The bedroom is clean and comfortable. There is a salt swimming pool that is so relaxing. For the location, it is convenient as it only has about 10 minutes walking distance from the Pub Street. The breakfast is decent. Everything is good in this hotel and I highly recommend this place!!

A nice place to stay
This is a small and cozy hotel in a quiet area but eateries, pubs, local market are just within 10 minutes walking distance. The owner is very nice and told us how to explore in Siem Reap within few days. The breakfast is cooked after order and I really enjoyed the food with the morning coffee besides the pool.

Where'd the electricity go???
Nice simple B&B. Small but nice pool. It's a bit of a walk to any of the action around Seim Reap (longer than the times listed). The problem is: the power went off for several hours and then again for a couple of shorter times. This hotel has no back-up generator like all of the other hotels which means no a/c, no fan, no lights, no water, no nothing except a hot room.

Good value, relaxed hotel with nice clean pool. Excellent attention to detail for example: good video and book available in room on temples. Super helpful staff. Breakfast good selection made to order. One of the few hotels we’ve stayed at in Asia where the reviews were accurate.

B and B staff were friendly and helpful. Pool and tropical surrounds were great. The location is a quiet street in easy walking distance to the town centre. The only disappointment was the lack of a refrigerator in the room---a deal breaker for a return visit.

Best place to stay in quiet and calm environment We stayed here for 2 nights & happy to recommend those visiting Siem Reap. Hotel is situated near downtown. Very helpful staff. Recommended for Indians as most of Indian restaurants are nearby (within 1.5 km)

Oasis in Siem Reap
It's like a friendly family experience staying at the Rose Apple. Tim and his staff genuinely care that your needs are met. They do many things that other places don't such as provide umbrellas and free filtered water. They even recycle their plastic waste. Great pool, quiet clean room, mattress not too hard, good aircon and fan, nice breakfast, helpful advice. Better than a 4 star at half the price.

Boutique hotel
This place is all you need when staying in Siem Reap. It is in a quiet part of the town but only 10 min walk to the busy streets. It is the perfect place to relax after a hot and busy day. The staff is very friendly and the pool refreshing!

Little paradise in Siem Reap
Awesome place. Thanks to all the staff, specially to Doeung. She was really sweet, helpful and always with a smile. We tried dinner one night and it was delicious. The bar and pool area are perfect for relaxing after a busy day out. The salted pool water was clean and towel was provide. We did not had issues with the shower, as readed in other comments. We stayed an extra night and, definitetly I recommend it.

Hidden gem
This was our first time to this hotel, and when we visit Siem Reap again we will definitely stay here again The staff are brilliant, we had an evening meal in the hotel which was excellent Rooms are very comfortable, breakfast is excellent and the hotel is located close to the main town The staff go out of their way to make sure your stay is enjoyable, and the swimming pool is the icing on the cake Well done, we really enjoyed our stay

Enjoyable stay
We really enjoyed our stay at this guesthouse. The room was great and of a good size, the breakfast tasty, and the staff very helpful. The only very minor downside was that the road on which the guesthouse is located was in disrepair - so a bit muddy etc when we had a bit of rain. However the location is great - only a 5-10 min walk from central Siem Reap (itself very commercial btw) - but nice and quiet. We'd happily recommend.

Lovely, quiet, friendly hotel.
I loved staying at Rose Apple. The staff are the best, so friendly and helpful. The salt water pool is great. It's on a quiet dirt road, a bit rough especially when it rains, but pretty close to everything ( I walked to Pub street, restaurants, etc) and keeps it quiet! The Furnishings are not the most luxurious but I love the old wood and huge windows. I would stay here again in a moment and highly recommend it.

Great B&B, great location
This hotel was simply amazing. The staff is really what made this place really stand out. It's run by a couple and a few other staff members. They are extremely helpful and can set you up with a tuk-tuk driver for your entire stay. The location is very close to the downtown area - small shops, market and pub street. It's and easy walk or a quick ride. During our stay the power went out for the whole block, something our hotel obviously could not control and then went above and beyond to make sure that they made up for it by giving us a really late check out, as well as a free meal, which we really appreciated. Honestly, my only complaint, would be that the pillows were super firm.. Other than that this place was just amazing.

Great stay
We had a wonderful stay at the Rose Apple! The staff was friendly and attentive and the grounds were well-maintained and lovely. We especially enjoyed spending the afternoon in the refreshing saltwater pool after a hot day walking around Angkor Wat! The location was great - an easy ten minute walk to Pub Street but far enough away that the room was quiet.

I love this place!
Everything about my experience here was top notch. The staff was amazing! The accommodations were wonderful and modern. The pool was a great way to relax in the heat. I've traveled a lot and the quality of the bed and mattress was a lifesaver. I highly recommend staying here. Say hi the Tim, the owner, he's a wonderful fellow.

A perfect place to stay.
Highly recommended. Loved our stay. Owners are very friendly. Staff is great. Very good for families with young children; toys and kids on site. Not in the center of town, so it's a little bit of a walk in, or 2 dollar tuk tuk ride if you get tired of dodging motorbikes. Pool is very nice. Everything is clean and updated. Breakfast was simple but good. Lots of fresh fruit and flavourful coffee. Stay here if you can.

Very nice B&B with a touch of personal service
The owners and staff very courteous, friendly and made us feel like family. The layout of the Inn has many common areas and a salt water pool so instead of getting confined to our room, we were able to relax in the verandas enjoying tropical breeze.

Quality hotel
Great value for money Hotel, well located, walking distance to tourist centre, markets and pub street, immaculately clean rooms with QUIET aircon in a similarly sparklingly beautiful old building, run by a very welcoming guy who's staff go out of their way to help you. Pool refreshing after a day at the temples. Guys out front on tuk tuks charge the going rate so no rip offs there. Hotel can arrange tours/flights etc but there's absolutely no pressure. Would stay there again without hesitation.

We didn't want to leave this hotel.
Me and my girlfriend were so happy we found this hotel , we both agreed how lucky we were to discover this place among all the hotels in Siem Reap. When we checked in late at night they took care of us with cold towels and a refreshing drink , took our bags to the room and had the air con on ready for us. The room itself was perfect and just what we were looking for. We both looked forward to the breakfast , there coffee is really good and they don't skimp on the free breakfast like some other places, it is really good and we both loved coming down in the morning to see the nice staff ready to serve us. Even on our early morning start at Angkor they supplied us with a nice packed breakfast to keep us energized.Staff are very friendly and so helpful and on our last day we really didn't want to leave since we liked it there so much. I would easily recommend this place to anyone going to Siem Reap , THIS IS THE PLACE YOU ARE LOOKING FOR.

It starts with detailed and personal emails addressing all of our OCD questions about tours, appropriate dress, customs, recommendations, etc. prior to he trip and it finishes with gracious and attentive follow-thru on every detail. simply, every detail was tended to, before we could even think to ask. Highlights: You are greeted with a tropical ade, cool washcloth and a personal sit down greeting briefing from either Tim or his right hand Soneang, whose constant broad smile literally extends from ear to ear. Each morning and afternoon, the staff checked in on how our day went, and reviewing details for the next days' adventure. Recommendations: 1) the fish market and River village on stilts and local dinner tour. If you want to experience the true local culture. then do not miss this. It is a private look into the family and village life of rural Cambodia that can not be duplicated elsewhere. 2) the salt water pool. refreshing, well appreciated after the heat of a day, spotlessly maintained. I travel a lot, and rarely use the pool. We used this daily, as did the other guests. Tim treats his staff as family, and all respond with devotion to the client. I strongly recommend making use of his guides, tuk-tuk drivers, etc.

Rose Apple Experience
The personal service and information was great. The food lovely and especially the breakfasts. Fried eggs or omelette with bread and spreads and fresh fruit. Enjoyed it all.

Cozy home-like stay
Tim and his family are always on the premise and it creates his homey feeling, which I absolutely loved. It made me feel safe and just so at ease. His son Benajmin is adorable and his beautiful wife is an amazing cook. All of his staff are friendly and helpful. Everyone at Rose Apple was very attentive to my comfort and satisfaction. Tim and his family at Rose Apple will take care of you as they did me. The place is tucked away on an off-beaten pathway where there is a lot of construction going on, but so close to the main streets of the markets - everything was walkable for me. One minor thing I want to point out is that there is no fridge in the room, which is quite inconvenient for hot days in Cambodia.

A great little hotel less than 10 min walk to Siem Reap centre. Ideal place to stay while visiting Ankor Wat. Family run, clean, comfortable and very helpful friendly staff. I have no hesitation in recommending this hotel.

I doubt you'll find a better value anywhere
Staff was 100/100. Food was 100/100. Location was very good, close to downtown and the tuk-tuk drivers could get you anywhere fast. Wish I could have this experience round the globe. Had driver waiting at the airport to take us back to hotel.

A great option!
This is a great spot- near everything but enough away to also be a bit of a retreat from busy Siem Reap streets. Surroundings are lovely and staff couldn't be more helpful.

A simply fabulous place to stay in Siem Reap
From the moment we were greeted at the door to our departure, we loved every minute of our stay. The most wonderful staff and the most wonderful rooms for the price. Tim and Ohn are terrific hosts and really look after you. The pool is welcome after templing. The location is just right - close enough to walk to Pub Street without hearing it. One of the best places, I've ever stayed.
