Very helpful staff. COVID- safe and very well organised.
Unfortunately, the room upon arriving was rather cold (all heating in the room had been turned off).
The worst part, which really spoilt our stay was the shower that fluctuated between scorching hot water and freezing cold. There was no happy medium.
Otherwise the staff were warm and helpful
We enjoyed staying at the Howard Arms. The food and atmosphere were excellent and the staff very friendly. Our bedroom (the Oak Room) was clean and nicely furnished, although we found the bed a little on the soft side. There was only one thing that marred our room and that was an intermittent knocking noise could be heard on occasions even twice after midnight. We reported this to the management and they were unaware of the problem.
