Clean & tidy and the milk, tea & coffee was a lovely welcoming touch. There was no access to the garden (which was highlighted in the property details) which was a shame as we have small dogs. Private parking was very good although a little bit alkward getting out onto the fairly busy road due to parked cars. Spacious lounge/diner, decent size kitchen but too many heavy fire doors. Step up to the good sized ground floor bedroom should have a warning strip on it.bed not that comfortable. A bit OTT on the fire prevention, I know it is very important but loads of fire alarms emergency lighting and a very perilous fire exit seemed a bit OTT. The stair rail was so close to the wall halfway up the stairs it couldn't be used, a rail on the other side of the staires would be very helpful. It's a good size, with plenty of room to spread out and relax. It's also nicely decorated and furnished. The only downside is sometimes the kitchen isn't as well equipped as it might be - and I've recently discovered this comes about when it gets rented out alongside the big house next door. As a result things sometimes end up in the wrong place so it's worth asking at the agent's if you find something crucial isn't there. The entry time of 5pm seems incredibly late, particularly if there were to be an issue when Keys are closing soon afterwards and likewise the exit time of 9am seems a bit early. Incredibly spacious for a two bedroom home. The double bedroom was particularly palatial. It was light and airy throughout so a cheerful place to be and I was greeted with flowers and a box of the (very) good biscuits. Having it's own parking is a huge plus in Sheringham. It doesn't have a dishwasher so check the list of amenities if this is important to you but I would thoroughly recommend it. Having stayed at the Annexe on a number of occasions, it seems that an infantry of crockery and associated cooking essentials may help to overcome the lack of these items. There are no measuring bowls or containers to hold any excess liquids or food items and a tea mug is the only way to heat such things as milk etc to put into the microwave to heat. There was no tea tray to aid carrying things about. Whilst in previous years these items were available, now you take pot luck in the hope that there will be the necessary utensils to aid food preparation. We have had to resort into purchasing our own crockery and other essential utensils while on holiday there. The radiator in the bathroom/toilet has still not been attended to and was not working two years ago. So we knew that we needed to take all of the usual cleaning and washing-up items along with toilet rolls, with us, because for some reason “The Annex”, as we call it, doesn’t supply what we feel is necessary for a weeks stay. We noticed that the floor doesn’t appear to have been cleaned for awhile. Also there isn’t a lock on the Bathroom door, which makes things a bit difficult when we have company come to visit us, especially as it’s not possible to hold the bathroom door shut and sit on the loo!!
