But then the hotel management was gracious enough to let me stay anyway, and no additional money was requested. Now this is service and I highly appreciate it. So, service-wise, I would say this is a keeper. Unfortunately, there is a problem with rooms - the humid smell. Obviously, Shenzhen is very humid (albeit it wasn't on the days I was there). But the air conditioner emitted a bad smell. My colleague in another room also noticed this. It is too bad. The room was roamy, there was a balcony, the hotel was otherwise relatively comfortable. This is the one and only point that could make the difference. If I were management, this is where I would invest my budget: ensure the air circulation does not have a humid smell.
