"I was glad we had a mandarin speaker with us to call the proprietor when we arrived as we didnt know what to do when everything was locked up. But once we called and he arrived, it was an awesome place to stay. Loved the location in historic Tainan (only street parking a couple blocks away available) and all four of us found it very roomy with a nice shared sitting area/kitchen outside our private room. "This is a good location right near the train station and although the area around might look a little messy to western eyes, it's actually a lovely hotel. It has a great gym and the rooftop pool is nice. The one issue we had was with the bedroom which has this massive TV blocking the window. It was a little irritating and also the TV sits on a lip in the floor that I tripped over about four times! And the problem is if you reach out to stop yourself from falling forward you either grab the TV or hit the window! So a bit of a design fail there. Another fail was the "wet room" bath and shower that leaked into the other room if you're not careful. (One irritating aside: some of the rooms had coffee makers – – Nespresso – – and some did not. For some reason I guess some of the room classes give you Nespresso) The breakfast buffet was very nice--by the time we got here we had been at two other hotels with breakfast buffets! And this one stood up well – – and I like the fact that you could select what time you wanted to go although even though we selected later in the morning it was still crazy busy because there was some kind of conference going on. I also want to give a nice shout out to the restaurant because they actually had local Taiwan craft beer which is incredibly rare to find in Taiwan."

"It is located right in the middle of Tainan old town, literally steps away from Chikan Tower and Tainan Grand Mazu Temple which are on the same street . Bus stops are at the door. Just 2 stops away from the train station. The room is spacious and clean. Bathroom has bidet installed. Breakfast is included and is surprisingly good, with both Chinese and western style dishes, even ice cream. Self serving laundry is on the 12th floor. NTD30 for washing and NTD10 for each 30 minutes of drying. Powder is provided."
