Liked: Cleanliness, property conditions & facilities, communication
We loved this property even if it’s dated. It was incredibly clean, had everything we needed and was close to shopping and dining. We would definitely stay here again.
We so enjoyed this vrbo.
It was centrally located and easy to hop on hop off the free shuttle.
The host went above a beyond with some supplies for our cruise.
Very easy to get everywhere we wanted to go in Seward. We were able to walk to many restaurants and shops. Very clean and kitchen well stocked with what we needed to make meals.
Cozy, clean, comfortable. Can’t beat the location. We were able to prepare meals, but also enjoyed nearby restaurants. One bathroom for 8 adults was a bit of a challenge, but we managed easily. To be fair, we knew what we signed up for.
We had a group of 10 and were super happy with your place!! Plenty of room for all of us and no issue with 1 bathroom especially with the public restrooms a block away. Also vp
The property owner, Eugen, was great to work with. The house was warm and inviting when we arrived. The bedding and linens were top notch and the beds were very comfortable. The kitchen had quality tools and even a ton of little extras that make it easier to cook when on the road. So happy with our choice to stay here in Seward.
The property’s location is ideal, being just a few blocks from the Sea Life Center, close to restaurants, and a 1 mile drive from the glacier cruise area.
The house is very old, but we found that to be a fun look back to the past. There was plenty of room for our family, as there is a bunk room with many single beds upstairs, in addition to the two bedrooms on the main floor.
The kitchen had plenty of bowls, cups, silverware, etc.
Really enjoyed our time here!
My husband, myself, our son & grandkids stayed here. The accommodations are cozy and comfortable - two small bedrooms, kitchen/living room combo and large loft area with 5 twin beds. The kitchen had everything we needed and more! We prepared meals there to save money and lacked for nothing. There were even snacks which our hungry kids appreciated. Easy walk to many places, although it's on a busy street. We had no problem finding a parking place right in front when we did drive to places.
Overall it worked well for a family of 6. Only thing that would have been nice is a second bathroom with 6 of us. Its close to downtown and still in walking distance of the docks. Like other reviews we also noticed the house is not level and the stairs are steep, but neither was a big deal for us. I would definitely rent again if in the area.
We enjoyed our stay, the house is in a great location in Seward, within walking distance to restaurants and shops in historic downtown Seward, and also close to the Sea Life Museum. We are a family of three and it was perfect. Not sure how comfortable the twin bunks are but the two queens were very comfortable and we slept soundly. The kitchen table was a little big for the space but I suppose would be helpful if there were more people staying. No TV but we spent our days hiking and exploring so wasn’t an issue for us. I would stay here again if we’re back in Seward.
We had a group of eight people and waited a little too long to book a suitable house for this size group. We wound up booking a larger, more modern house nearby and this house. We used the other house for all our cooking/dining and this house worked great as a bunkhouse for five of us. It can sleep a lot of people but given only one bathroom and a small kitchen space, it's really best suited for 4 people max. Again, it worked great as a bunkhouse for our group and we were very happy with it. Location and communication from owner/manager was great.
A perfect way to relive the past but with some modern convenience
This house was built in 1920, which allows us to experience earlier settler life. The host is really nice and accommodating, he even heated the house prior to our arrival. There were some modern convenience that were added since 1920, such as microwave, shower, and electric stove/oven. While there is no TV, the house is 1/2 block from town, a couple blocks from the shoreline park, aquarium, etc. If you have a car (or use Taxi), there are a lot of places to tour (boat and land) and see. Despite not having a washer, dryer, or dishwasher, the laundromat is close by and not busy. I highly recommend this place!
Great place to stay with the family! The location is wonderful, walking distance to everything, the coffee shop, the library, the water front, and more.Thank you!
