"Came for one night, and ended up staying for three, because we never wanted to leave.
This is a pure haven for anyone just wanting to relax, calm their nerves and take in the beautiful evening sky whilst hanging in a pool. With kind horses all around, and the sound of nature and wind in the trees.
With only a few rooms, you never experience too much of a crowd, and only the best people seem to end up here. The owners are the sweetest people, and we’ll definitely end up coming here every...

"We spent three nights in Chateau Turgot and really enjoyed it. Super location, very close to Falaise and many Normandy attractions. Comfortable beds, spotlessly clean and the owner was very attentive and helpful. We would stay here again without question."

"A lovely place to stay. We were on a trip to Bergerac and this was a one night stop so we didn't reallyhave a chance to experience the pool/spa, but the outside sitting areas were nice and being able to get wine and beer was really nice after a long drive. The hosts are every attentive, and although we can't speak french very well and their english was limited Google translate saved the day, especially at meal time when we sat with Celine and her family"

Enjoyed staying in a chateau in town. Charles the owner was very welcoming and gave us a tour around his home. If you want to stay in a modern hotel with all the amenities this is probably not the place for you. But if you want charecter and personal service you will not regret it. Breakfast in front of the log fire surrounded by artwork overlooking the park from your 18th century drawing room was an experience we will always remember.

Lovely hotel. Very welcoming owner. Short walk into town for an evening meal. Very convenient for a stop over if travelling via the A28 autoroute. Excellent value for money.

Beautiful apartment in a beautiful building. Lots of space and the kitchen was home from home with everything you could possibly need.
Fantastic communication with Peter.
Highly recommend staying here, wish our trip had been for longer.

The best area to stay in Sévigny is within the historic town centre, particularly around the Place du Marché and Rue Saint-Pierre.
This central area is the heart of Sévigny, offering a blend of historic charm and modern convenience. It's very walkable, with cobblestone streets leading to local shops, traditional bakeries, and restaurants. The Place du Marché is a key landmark, hosting regular markets, and Rue Saint-Pierre is known for its well-preserved medieval architecture.
For couples, staying in the town centre provides a romantic and convenient base. You'll be within easy reach of the Sévigny Abbey and the Château de Sévigny, great for leisurely explorations. The evenings offer a chance to enjoy intimate dinners at local eateries, often just a short stroll from your accommodation.
Travellers seeking a quiet retreat will also appreciate the town centre. While it offers plenty to see and do, the pace is generally relaxed, especially in the evenings.
When is the best time to go to Sévigny?
The best time to visit Sévigny is during the late spring (May to June) and early autumn (September to October) when the weather is pleasant and the crowds are smaller.
During late spring, the countryside is in full bloom, making it a beautiful time for exploring the local gardens and cycling routes. The temperatures are mild, typically ranging from 15°C to 20°C, superb for outdoor activities without the summer heat. This period is ideal for couples looking for a romantic getaway, as the orchards are blossoming and the atmosphere is relaxed.
Early autumn also offers agreeable weather, with temperatures between 12°C and 18°C. The landscape takes on lovely autumnal colours, and it's harvest season, which means local markets are full of fresh produce. This is a great time for food enthusiasts and those interested in local culture, as many regional festivals take place. Families might find this period suitable for exploring the area with fewer tourists around.
While July and August offer the warmest weather, they also bring the largest crowds and higher prices.
