The house was advertised accurately and just how we expected when we arrived. Clean with great views. Only thing that was not the way it was advertised was the outdoor fire pit. Very small and on top of the neighbors house.
Driving to home was somewhat challenging. The home however was very accommodating for our multi-generational family. The grandkids and adults enjoyed the pool and hot tub!! The foosball and Pac-Man games were also enjoyed!
We had a great experience staying at Mountain Dreams as an extended family of 10. The property is clean with spectacular views. The road to get to it is a bit tricky but totally doable. The pool door lock did not work while were there, but I think that may have simply been a battery issue. The pool and hot tub were lifesavers as the weather was very rainy while we visited. Be sure to bring hand soap, but other than that, amenities were covered.
Property was perfect for our family of 10. Great layout. Had some trouble with the smell of the water- we needed to let the water run for awhile each time we turned it on to get rid of the rotten egg smell. Internet was very spotty. Enjoyed the pool and fire pit. The view was incredible. Overall amazing
Beautiful view from the back porch for our birdwatching lovers, and places to read or nap in the mountain air. The pool and the hot tub were a big hit with the kids, and it was clean and well-maintained. We were only 15 to 20 minutes away from Dollywood, the aquarium, and Parrot Mountain, but felt like we were out in the wilderness. No cell service, and very slow Internet, so not a place that you could work online, But a great place to unplug! We loved it, from our five year-old to the 90-year-old great grandmother!
The house was very nice and the view even better! The listing online was a bit deceiving though. It doesn't show a house right next door to the fire pit, but there is one there now. We had a lightning storm the first night which knocked out the water. The management was responsive quickly and worked to get the water back as soon as possible. Overall it was a relaxing beautiful stay!
The home was beautiful and we had a great time! Things to note: the wifi is spotty and we didnt have cell phone service - wasn't an issue for us, but may be good to know in case you want to work from there. The more unseen areas such as high window sills were not cleaned and had dead bugs - not a big deal. The pots and pans are beat up and flaking so we didn't feel comfortable using them and bought one at the store to use instead. The pool was great! Very clean! The view was breathtaking Loved having the washer and dryer The instructions for everything was posted and easy to follow. The path up the mountain was a little nerve racking, but it is to be expected and there is only room for 3 maybe 4 cars so keep that in mind when booking.Overall, this place was great and we would stay there again - thanks!
We truly enjoyed our stay at this cabin! The view and the pool were the two main things that made us book it. When we got there the hot tub lid was off the hot tub and a lot of the water was gone, we contacted maintenance and the pool guy was there very quickly! Super impressed with that! A couple things that could be improved but arent a huge deal, the bunkroom downstairs could use a couple dressers so there’s a place for clothes. The pool room needs some seats for adults watching and more hooks to hang towels and stuff on! The pool room floor is very slick when wet so be very careful!! Again the little things are just that, little, and they didn’t cause issues! Overall we truly enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend this cabin! The view itself is worth it!
Immediately impressed by the property and location. Beautiful views. Overall cleanliness was lacking, we found to have dirty dishes in the cabinets, dusty/dirty floors, dead bugs under windows. Walls throughout the cabin are definitely not sound proof-you can hear everything through the walls, including shower/bathrooms. Wi-Fi did not work well at all. Coffee pot handle loose/broken-caused hot coffee spill. Pool and hot tub were great, the kids had a blast. No bench with cushions on deck as shown in pictures. Deck seating-screws were falling out of rocking chairs. No firewood provided for the outdoor fire pit. The listing does not say that there is a neighboring house 40 feet away and the fire pits are practically next to each other. Overall great but for the price we expected it to be up-kept better.
The property and location is amazing. The pool is perfect, relaxing and gives you a view, which by the way is the one of the best views you are ever going to get. The view from BOTH decks is amazing and so nice to just sit early in the morning or late at night with a drink (of your choice) to just take it in and let the stresses of the world melt away. The kitchen is big and ready for use, you may need some spices and the like, but that should be expected in any place on VRBO, so not an issue whatsoever.
Ok, time for the not so good, which is the Unwind "Luxury" Vacation team. I quote "luxury" because it was far from it. Let me state before I list all the issues we brought up to them that they were very responsive and did offer to have someone out there to help, every time WE did say no.
Since they give me limited characters:
Headboard detached from queen bed - bed broken downstairs
Chair broken when someone just sat on it
Nail sticking out on steps
Could not close dishwasher without fixing it ourselves
Internet was so bad it plan didn't work at all last day, granted you are in the mountains, but it wasn't even there - expect no connection.
Lastly - the water. It smelled terrible, from the faucets and showers, like sulfur. I saw in other reviews the response was it's due to well water. I grew up with well water - there are probably 5 to 10 ways to fix this, but you have to PAY for the things to do this and this rental team seems unlikely to ever do that.
This was a great place to stay when visiting the area for a larger group of people. Our group was all adults and had a great experience staying here, but being in the mountains has its share of complications.
First the highlights!
Indoor pool is lovely, not Olympic size but not something anyone in our party cared about.
The view is absolutely spectacular, both sunrises and sunsets were out of this world.
You are close to both Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg (15ish minutes) while still being in nature and isolated.
The grill being hooked directly to the propane line made using the grill very easy and convenient.
The house is beautiful.
Climate control made the house comfortable no matter the outside temperature or weather.
Now for some things to keep in mind.
The roads up to the house while well maintained, are very steep and winding. We only had four wheel drive in one vehicle but it did make driving up the mountain easier.
The Internet is on the slower side (we had a hard time streaming videos) and there is very spotty cell service (most of us only got signal on the rear porch by the grill).
The water is hard and has a sulfur smell to it. It should be safe to drink unless you have a very sensitive stomache (one of our party has trouble drinking city water in many places so he got bottle water).
Overall it was a wonderful stay and I would recommend it if the above aren't deal breakers. It was a great price for what we got!
Overall it was a great stay. Beautiful property. The road up to it was frightening but I guess usual for the area. I do have some suggestions that might make it better for future visitors. The listing for the house showed multiple chairs on the porch, but there was only one. You really need to add more, although we did like a table being there. The kitchen could use some kid friendly dishes and cups for sure. Maybe a couple more pots but pretty good overall.
The biggest issue is the WiFi and the TVs. We had to work on all the TVs to get them going but never could use the Roku. The main room TV never worked and did not have a direct TV remote at all. Very inconvenient not to be able to watch TV there.
I reiterate , you HAVE to get better WiFi. Some days it didn’t work at all and even when it worked it was super slow. In a high end house like that you have to have better service! We had two family members who needed to do some work remotely and one had to drive into town and sit in the Starbucks to work. It is too far to town for that to be acceptable! At least warn people they will be cut off!
Speaking of warning people, you should have at least warned us that one of the beds was GONE. We worked it out, but we had been counting on it. Also we were not advised that the TV in that room was broken.
But like I said, beautiful house and we all loved it and the pool and other amenities. Some little touches would go a long way!

Family Vacation 7/22-7/29/2023
The property had enough bedrooms & space for a family of 12. The pool, once we had access, was enjoyed by all. We arrived on a Saturday but the code given to the pool was incorrect. Were not able to secure the correct code until Sunday afternoon. Roads to get there are very narrow & windy. There are a number of items the mgt. could do to make the house more comfortable & useable.
1. The deck overlooking the mountain is breathtaking! However there are only 3 rockers on the deck & they are extremely uncomfortable. Could use a few more chairs and some cushions on the hard-backed wooden rockers.
2. The indoor pool area could use some chairs. There are only 2 wooden benches which are not comfortable. No where to comfortably sit.
3. The kitchen is very well stocked. Only suggestions for the kitchen would be some plastic glasses for children. There were only breakable glasses. Also, if you plan on doing any cooking you have to use the large pan to mix ingredients as there are no mixing bowls,
4. There was only 1 extra blanket to be found. No extra blankets or pillows. No sheets for the full size bed in the bunk room. (The bunk room was to have had two full size beds under the top bunks but only had one as the other one was in the game loft upstairs. Made the loft area very crowded.) Not enough bath towels either.
5. Outside could use a lot of TLC.
With all being said, very nice and quiet area. There is a house right next door that was now shown in the pictures.
The cabin is great the pool is big and a lot of room for our family the only bad thing is the water it smells so bad we had to see bottled water for everything because the water smelled so bad.
We Greatly enjoyed our stay at Unwind Luxury Vacations!! Awesome view of the Great smokies! Cabin was clean and ready for us! We enjoyed the location, pool, hot tub and communication was great!
The house was wonderful and the location was beautiful. House we big enough for 14 of us with plenty of room. My biggest complaint is the phone service, wifi and direct tv. We had no cell services, wifi and direct tv was horrible (it was out most of the time we stayed there for 9 days). I wish they would note this when booking the cabin. My son is a type 1 diabetic and service makes our life easier.
The cabin is perfect! We loved our stay. Yes the water does stink, and cell service is terrible. You are in the MOUNTAINS! The roads getting to the cabin are alittle scary to be honest but it's worth it once you get up there. You won't regret renting this cabin
Clean and open home with nice amenities. Pool and views are worth the booking fees alone. Not the host's fault but the phone service and internet is nearly non-existent, but it's nice to not have a phone ringing for a change. When we find our way back to Pigeon Forge we'll certainly look this place up.
