Summary:
The Carver's House is a historic cabin that was owned and originally crafted by famous local woodcarver Dale Gillespie — now newly renovated. Situated just a quarter mile off The Spur in the heart of the Smokies, you won't find a more unique getaway near Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg. Hot tub, fire pit, landscaped grounds, and Starlink Wi-Fi.
The Space:
Throughout this one-of-a-kind cabin, you'll find detail after detail — cathedral ceilings, daylight LED lighting, cedar finishes, pine shiplap ceilings, and thoughtful modern touches throughout.
The cabin has 2 comfortable bedrooms, each with a queen bed, TV, USB charging stations, luggage rack, and a place to hang your clothes. The 1.5 bathrooms include a spacious walk-in shower stocked with hair and body wash.
The living room features a wood-burning fireplace — perfect for cool mountain evenings. The fully stocked kitchen includes a Keurig, Ninja blender, and a striking 12-foot concrete bar and island. A stackable washer and dryer are also on-site for your convenience.
Step outside to enjoy the hot tub, fire pit, and campsite grill set among the landscaped grounds. Whether you're sipping morning coffee on the porch or stargazing from the hot tub, the outdoor space here is something special.
Guest Access:
The property is arranged over two levels, each featuring its own driveway, entrance, and amenities. 'The Carver's House' is situated on the lower level, where it has full access to all the amenities available on these grounds i.e. fire pit, hot tub, grill
The Neighborhood:
The neighborhood is situated in the heart of the Smokies just a quarter mile of the spur just minutes from Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge. The neighborhood host a collection of overnight properties and private residences. The property is easily accessible in most weather.
Getting Around:
You will need a car to get around the Smokies for the most part, but if you so choose the Great Smoky Mountain Welcome Center and trolley stop is just under a mile away.
Other Things to Note:
Access to Carver's House is secured by a door code. Prior to your stay, we'll forward you the code, along with a link to our Rental Agreement. Please make a point to e-sign this document before your arrival to ensure smooth access.

The cabin is nestled among dense tree cover in the Smoky Mountains — it's part of what makes this spot so special. We've equipped the property with Starlink satellite internet for fast, reliable Wi-Fi even during inclement weather.
Interaction with Guests:
99% of the time my wife and I are available to our guests to handle any need. We only live a short drive away from the cabin and we also have several resources in the area to meet any need that may arise.
