#### Walk through an elevated garden that passes over this metropolis. Although heavy traffic is a few feet below, it’s often out of sight and not a threat to safety.

The dominance of trees often takes over from surrounding high-rise buildings on both sides of Seoul’s Seoullo 7017\. It was a victory for pedestrians over vehicles when the local government decided to change an overpass to a walkway in 2017\. Prior to that cars and trucks streamed along the elevated structure connecting eastern and western portions of the city, from Seoul Station to Namdaemun Market. Stroll for over 0.5 miles (1 kilometer) through a park-like setting with about 24,000 trees and plants.

The name comes from the structure being 58 feet (17 meters) above the ground, as well as the attraction’s 17 pathways and the road’s re-designation, which occurred in 2017\. The 70 refers to the year the structure was first built as an expressway.

Relax and enjoy this sky garden’s cafés and greenery. At night it’s bathed in soothing blue illumination. The city’s project of urban revitalization identifies Seoullo 7017 as the core of additional changes to provide a people-friendly area.

The attraction is also excellent for learning about Seoul’s history and culture. Pre-register online for one of three free walking tours. Day tours include viewing some of the city’s sightseeing attractions or exploring modern and contemporary architecture. The night tour is magical, with the attraction’s abundant lighting effects and views of the city. Pick up free brochures if you prefer to discover the area’s highlights on your own.

Seoullo 7017’s cafés are unique by focusing on separate elements of Korean cuisine. Saunter along with a delicious organic ice-cream cone or try custard-cream and nut-filled acorn sweets. Enjoy special bibimbap dishes and a craft beer or Korean-style grilled toast and a coffee.

You will experience numerous aspects of the city by visiting Seoullo 7017\. Drop in to one of the souvenir shops carrying items that are exclusive to this area.

Access Seoullo 7017 from either end of the span and locations in between by using stairs, ramps and elevators. Public transportation from the international airports and city areas make this attraction a hub for citizens and visitors.

We’ve been a repeat guests for Sejong. Really appreciate the hotel’s cleanliness and amenities. The room was clean, even housekeeping did a good job when we requested for our bed to be made. The only thing that didn’t change is the worker’s union protest, that seems on-going even before covid. Fortunately, they didn’t bother hotel guests but get a bit crowded when the protest at the lobby though.

Easy check in (we arrived at past 10pm) and check out. Staff at restaurant were courteous and helpful, and mindful of cleanliness of the restaurant, amenities is basic and minimal. The only downside is the cleanliness of the bathroom. You can see molds and even around the tap rim. The housekeeping in this area is quite poor. But beds and linen are crisp and clean. Good quality of bed and pillows. The hotel generally needs a good skilled repair and maintenance. The location is quite good if you are after a local Korean sites, not touristy.
