DO NOT BOOK. Photos are misleading
Where do I start. This was the worst place we stayed in Bali. I booked for 3 days and missed the first day due to the Covid-19 flight interruptions. The owner refused to refund me during this world wide crisis when every other business had been so understanding. Prior to booking I contacted the manager to ask about the AC bc it was important that the room had ac and good insulation since Bali is hot hot hot. She assured me but when I came the room was unbearably hot. The room had AC but what they failed to mention was that the door does not close all the way...therefore the room will never get cool. I also realized why there weren’t many photos of the bathroom. It doesn’t have a tub, it’s dark and dingy, and the shower had several dead beetles! Also beware of sleeping with lizards and mosquitos. They are rampant and easily come into the room bc again the door doesn’t close and leaves a huge crack exposing you to the outside. We left early....didn’t even make it through one night and the owner refused to give a refund or take any accountability. When I mentioned the lizards in the room she said that lizards and bugs were for good luck! Save yourself the headache. The owners are not Balinese they are from Australia and are just greedy people with zero customer service. Below you will see a photo of the door “locked” and see why the room will never get cool and why you will be sleeping with bugs. I mean how much would it possibly cost to replace a door!

This person did not book or stay at Bali Akasa Villa. The safety and wellbeing of our guests and staff is of paramount importance and remains our top priority. It is with great sadness that as of the 6th March we have closed until further notice. We have asked our staff to stay home and keep a physical distance from everyone, especially when they need to go out for essential items such as food. While we one hundred percent support measures to slow the spread of COVID-19 we acknowledge that closing our villa will severely impact not only our staff and the community we live in, but also the surrounding businesses. All guests with existing bookings will be contacted regarding postponements and cancellations. Our front office will be in touch by email to discuss your refund options. If you are able to do so, we invite you to take a credit voucher for a future booking – why not give yourself something to look forward to? Or you may choose to convert your deposit into a donation to help support our staff through this crisis as Indonesia does not have any form of government welfare. Together we will get through this. While there is a lot we can't do, and a lot of loss, there is one thing we can do, we can be kind.
