I don't typically write many reviews, but Potato Head absolutely deserves my praise. The short story here is that this is now my home away from home- my favorite hotel i've stayed at, and i don't say that lightly.
This place has a heart beat. There are plenty of generic (but beautiful) 5* hotels in bali- that is true but nothing has the artistic soul this place has. It's not subtle about being different... the designers knew what they were doing and were unapologetic and uncompromising when creating their vision. But at the same time, it's not art at the sacrifice of function and luxury. I'm quite certain there are people that don't appreciate the attention to detail and artistry... in which case they'll simply find the Potato head a quirky hotel with excellent service- still not nothing negative. I love it.
In addition to the aesthetics, their service is second to none. Their managers were (respectfully) quite attentive in seeing how my evening was, whether i needed anything- a reminder of the live music later that day and if they could rsvp a daybed for sunset right where i like it. I'd walk into a room and people would know me and what i liked... and recommend things i've yet to try. Yes please.
