Lovely atria with plants and even a bird making a nest! Rooms are huge, with decent sized bathrooms and the beds are comfortable. The rooftop pool is very refreshing and the bar is a cozy place. The breakfast is part buffet and part ala carte, with more than enough options and the food is delicious. My adult daughter and I had a short but fabulous Girly stay with Alila! The positon of the Hotel and politeness of the Staff impressed us immensely. We loved our entire stay but if I was being very picky I would suggest the Breakfasts could be improved. The pools by the beach are breathtaking. We like to walk and chill at different places when in Bali, but this hotel just made it so difficult to leave it’s grounds, even though the location is perfectly located by restaurants, cafes, bars, beach clubs etc etc. Just 1 minor thing I found not great was that our room was located in an adjacent building which was connected to the hotel only through a public street, which lessened the feeling of exclusivity..that said, buggies come and go constantly from the hotel’s main building which was alright and because the main building is further in, our building was located very conveniently right by the main street. Even though check in is 3pm, we didn’t get to our room till 3.50pm. Too long after an early morning start from home. Took 30 mins for a coke and a beer to arrive at the pool, and most staff were complacent.
