The location was decent and easily accessible to the square, restaurants, the bus station and The Church of St. John. The breakfast was also good and had a nice variety. The hotel staff was helpful at breakfast time and with any questions about the sites/transportation.
The downsides: the room was a bit cold and the water didn't get hot or stay warm very long. Also, the area the hotel is located in is an area where locals don't have natural gas in their homes. Therefore, most of the families are burning wood or other natural materials to heat their homes for winter. So, the whole area has a very strong smell of smoke and the air is very smokey/foggy. The first night, the smoke was awful, the second night it was more manageable.
One other minor problem, that did get resolved, was the hotel tried to say that breakfast was not included and would be an extra 50TL per person. However, it was clearly stated on the booking that breakfast was included. Even on the hotel's profile, a few times it is listed that free breakfast is part of the room price. Luckily my boyfriend is Turkish so he was able to get the matter resolved, but anyone who is not Turkish should be advised to confirm with the hotel that breakfast is included before they shell out extra money.
