Beatiful small courtyard hotel with pool
A beautiful small courtyard hotel with a lovely pool. Close to centre of Selcuk and perfect base for seeing Ephesus. Outstanding Turkish buffet breakfast.

이 숙소에 묵으면서 제일 다행이었던 점은 1박 여정 이었다는 점. 빈민가 한 가운데 위치해 있어 길가에 빈민노인들, 부랑자들이 널부러져 있음. 2층을 계단으로 올라가니 이상한 냄새가 나기 시작하더니 방문열고 들어서니 숨이 턱 막힐 정도로 진동함. 호텔방에서 이런 냄새가 나는 건 처음 경험해 봄. 더블룸이 코딱지만해서 에어컨 바람 방향을 어떻게 조절해도 침대에 누우면 얼굴에 정면으로 바람이 쏟아져서 얼굴 건조해지고 숨 막히는 형태. 에어컨을 켜놔도 시원한 바람이 아니라 방이 절대 시원해 지지가 않음. 주인장이 친절은 한테 아무리 비용절감도 좋지만, 여행객들 편의도 좀 생각해야지 룸에 티슈박스도 없고 휴지통도 없는 숙소는 생전 처음 봄. 가지고 있던 비닐봉지에 휴지 모아서 버림. 슬리퍼, 비누, 샴푸 는 어디서 이런 걸 구해다 놨나 싶을 정도로 싸구려다 못해 가지라고 나눠줘도 안 가질만한 최하 최저급 품만 모아다 놓음. 아마 1달러에 5백개 묶음으로 파는 싸구려 가게에서 사온듯. 숙박료가 그 정도로 싼 것도 아니었는데. 부부가 아주 돈독이 올랐나. 자기 호텔 찾아오는 손님들한테 이런 싸구려 대접을 하는 게 양심없어 보일 정도였음. 쓸데없이 커튼에 구슬 달고 로비 공간에 호화로운 소파 놔두는 것 보다 투숙객이 머무는 데 필요한 물품들 구비해 놓는 것에 조금만이라도 신경쓰길. 잠자리에 예민하지 않고 어디서든 잘 자는 편인데 잠 한숨 못 자고 누워서 하얗게 밤을 샘. 호텔 안인지 밖인지 어디에선가 밤새도록 모터 돌아가는 소리가 나다 멈추다를 반복함. 밤새도록 이곳 예약한 거 후회하다가 닭울음소리에 자리에서 일어남. 어메니티는 면봉3개들이 두세트, 납작한 비누, 샴푸, 샤워젤이었는데 샴푸, 샤워젤은 세정작용이 없고 머릿결이 더 뻣뻣해지게 만드는 생전처음 써보는 이상한 제품.

This was truly a hidden gem! Beautiful property, helpful lovely staff, the best breakfast in our 3 weeks of travel. It was an easy quick walk to town and Saint John church ruins and castle. The only drawback was that it is situated on a dumpy street.

Oasis in Selcuk
Beautiful very good value small hotel in town centre (minutes walk from Basilica of St. John). Lovely ambience and very friendly host. Selcuk well worth a stay when visit h Ephesus.

Fantastic stay in Selcuk
The hotel is located in a rather poor neighbourhood of Selcuk and looks to be a mismatch to surrounding buidlings. By saying that we did not feel unsafe or experienced any issues. Once you walk into the hotel feels like an oasis in the desert and we were surprised by the high standards of maintenance and cleanliness not only in our room but across all communal areas as well. Hotel is nicely decorated throughout in a modern Turkish, perhaps slightly Ottoman style. I have to give credit and thank the gentleman at the reception who was very friendly and helpful from the very start to the very end of our stay. Breakfast was delicious. We had a car and we did not try any local amenities or restaurants so I cannot comment. Saint John Church and Selcuk tower are very close and worth visiting.

The place is located in a pretty run down area of town. The rooms are small and a bit pricey for what they are. The pool was empty when I arrived. The management is however very nice and the breakfast was generous and tasty.

Even though the staff was extremely nice the Hotel was not up to it. The shower was not working as well as the fridge (very nice they stored our drinks overnight for next day trip). The area roads were under maintenance not their fault of course but made the reach harder and the vehicle dusty.

Two Nights in Selcuk
The location was decent and easily accessible to the square, restaurants, the bus station and The Church of St. John. The breakfast was also good and had a nice variety. The hotel staff was helpful at breakfast time and with any questions about the sites/transportation. The downsides: the room was a bit cold and the water didn't get hot or stay warm very long. Also, the area the hotel is located in is an area where locals don't have natural gas in their homes. Therefore, most of the families are burning wood or other natural materials to heat their homes for winter. So, the whole area has a very strong smell of smoke and the air is very smokey/foggy. The first night, the smoke was awful, the second night it was more manageable. One other minor problem, that did get resolved, was the hotel tried to say that breakfast was not included and would be an extra 50TL per person. However, it was clearly stated on the booking that breakfast was included. Even on the hotel's profile, a few times it is listed that free breakfast is part of the room price. Luckily my boyfriend is Turkish so he was able to get the matter resolved, but anyone who is not Turkish should be advised to confirm with the hotel that breakfast is included before they shell out extra money.

Pleasant experience
One of the best hotels in selcuk. Nice, clean interior and friendly staff. One small warning to visitors, the neighborhood surrounding the hotel is a bit run down, but no need to worry as it is safe. People are very friendly in the area.

A little Oasis
This hotel is a little oasis in a back street in Selcuk. It is very Turkish in its furnishings with modern bathrooms and is very clean.The breakfast is extensive with something to please everyone and the staff are always on hand should you need anything. It is very close to Ephesus and seems to be very popular with tourists visiting the other nearby attractions. When we visited in October the restaurant was closed for winter but we found several very good places to eat and drink within walking distances of the hotel.

Slightly miserable bloke on reception when we arrived but everybody else was lovely. Room by the pool was great (and quiet). The road that the hotel is on appears a bit dodgy at first but it really isn't. Outstanding value for money.

The property itself was good. The pool was good. However there was a sewerage like smell in several areas. There were 5 cats outside the rear rooms and 3 at the front door. There was also an old dog living permanently in reception. The main gentleman on reception was rude and unhelpful.

Beautiful swimming pool and nice room!
Good size of the room, nice balcony overlooking the very enjoyable view of the swimming pool! Cozy atmosphere with nice & friendly staff! They proactively provide service for us and free brekkie provided! Just here for an overnight stay, very good so far!

The property was beautifully loated a walking distance from the Ephesus ruins. The property was very clean and the staff was amazing. The only downfall was that they did not allow late checkout and I arrived at the hotel at 01:00 that evening as I was visiting friends in Urla. So I was very tired and was told check out is at 12 with no acceptions to the rule. Other than that it was lovely.

This is a small boutique hotel with good sized well decorated rooms, some overlooking the central pool area. The rooms and public spaces are clean. There are good hot showers. The breakfast has a good selection of food both Turkish and for western tastes. The staff are helpful and attentive. It is located in a quiet street away from the main road but within easy reach of St John’s Basilica and the castle. It is a 10 minute walk to the bus station where you can get buses to Ephesus. It is an easy flat walk to Ephesus- about 3km, and the path is shaded in trees most of the way. We travelled to Pammekale from the bus station during our stay. There are good restaurants nearby. We would highly recommend this hotel for exploring Ephesus.
