Come enjoy the river views in this 3-bedroom 2.5 bath 1100 sq. Ft two story Get- Away. Located on the biggest part of Lake McQueeney. Sit by the fire pit, make s’more’s, watch the sunset or relax in the Hot tub while you enjoy the wildlife of bird watching. Play games in the large backyard and BBQ on the Weber charcoal grill. You can cook in the full kitchen with a dishwasher. Great Location- You can travel less than 20 minutes to Gruene, New Braunfels, Seguin, or Marion for antiquing, golf, weddings, Wurstfest, Schlitterbahn, floating the river and so much more.

Best VRBO host we have ever had! This is the place to stay!

Sam was such a great host! She went above and beyond to accommodate us during our stay and made my girlfriend's birthday weekend very special. She even baked a cake and set up decorations. The house is beautiful and well stocked with everything you need and more. We also enjoyed the boat ride and paddle boarding! Would love to stay here again in the future.

Lake house weekend

The property on Lake Mcqueeny was really nice! Better than the pictures. The house was fully loaded with extras like s'mores fixings, dog toys, and loads of keurig pods. We enjoyed the view even though there was some work being done on the dock. The owners are close by and eager to answer any questions.

Beautiful waterfront property with fantastic owners!

We stayed for a long weekend and had a wonderful time. The home had everything we needed and the yard and back patio and dock were amazing!! The owners were so responsive and accommodating! We’ll definitely be back. Lake McQueeney is a great distance from us in Houston.

Great location on Lake McQueeny

We had a wonderful time at this property! The owners are awesome and super attentive. I had mentioned to Sam we were celebrating my boyfriends birthday and there was a balloon and gift and message waiting for us on checkin. There was even a bowl of water waiting for our dog! The house was a perfect size and well kept and cutely decorated. Lots of fun activities to keep us entertained and you really can’t beat the fire pit by the water, not to mention the deck right on the lake! The house was stocked with everything we needed and lots of little thoughtful extras. Sam really thinks of everything. Thank you so much for the hospitality Sam! We can’t wait to come back soon!

Coaches Weekend

About 10-12 of us stayed in Sam's two houses there on Lake McQueeney! Sam was amazing in making sure our stay was nothing short of perfect!! A perfect place to sit back and relax, and enjoy the weekend. Kevin was also awesome, and was available to take some of us on the boat around the lake. We enjoyed our stay and look forward to our next stay at the lake!

Lake House Charm at its Finest

The short version is I wish there were six stars to rate this house. The long version is personal, so please stick with me. My family and I had to evacuate for Hurricane Laura. We didn’t have much time to find a house, and it was even more difficult to find a home that accepted dogs. We were relieved to find this place at the last minute, but soon found out we were even more blessed after talking to the owners. They were aware of our circumstances and were more than willing to work with us. After a very stressful trip, we were greeted not only with a gorgeous lake view, but homemade cookies as well! What was a difficult situation, soon subsided because of such warm hospitality from the owners. We definitely hope to return, and also hope to one day show someone the same kindness we were shown. This house exudes lake charm, just as it’s owners do.

Priceless

This has been one of the most relaxing vacations we have had- just what we needed during these difficult times for humanity. Sam and her family were terrific. We were welcome with the most fabulous smile and other treats that made our vacation days special. Definitely Returning!!

The house and surrounding property is absolutely gorgeous! The pictures on the listing do not do this place justice. The owner went above and beyond to ensure our stay was perfect. The house has all the necessities (and more!) to make sure the guests have everything they need. Owner made us a jar of Fig-Jalapeno jam that was outstanding. We rented the lily pad and paddle boards for our stay. We stayed in the water during the day and at night playwd yard games and sat around the firepit. It was a much needed relaxing and fun weekend. We will definitely be returning to this location.

The house is as advertised. The lake is beautiful clean and cool and the host was incredibly kind and welcoming. She stopped by the evening of our arrival on er boat and offered us a ride. The washing machine was broken and she lives 4 houses down and offered us hers. I could go on and on. To sum it up the property was what we expected, maybe even a little nicer(the decor was great). The host couldn't have been nicer or more available to our needs.

Just Perfect!

The pictures do not do this place justice! The house is situated on the widest part of Lake McQueeney and the views are gorgeous. This is a private lake with no public boat ramp, so the residents and their guests, or people renting homes like us, are the only people allowed on the lake. No drunk weekenders driving their boats too fast. We floated by the dock on rafts and rented the Lily Pad one day. We also took advantage of the Ski Boat rental Sam offers and could not have been happier! We loved Robert, the owner, who drove us around and gave them all lessons on wakeboarding and surfing. Lake McQueeney is a little piece of Heaven on earth and this lake house is the perfect place to enjoy it! Sam even had homemade cookies and a welcome note when we arrived.

Very Nice Home

We enjoyed our stay and the hospitality of the homeowner. The home is just as pictured and a great place that we hope to return to. The lake was nice but do expect boat traffic. We enjoying relaxing in tubes, fire pit each night and playing board games that were provided. The home was clean and well kept. Everything was in working order and kitchen was mostly furnished (next time we will bring along a cutting board and cooking oil). The homeowner went out of her way to make our stay personalized with special drinks and even a few towel animals. Thank you Sam and we hope to see you soon!

Great Place on the Lake

We booked the GetAway House for a small Bachelorette Party. Sam made sure we had everything we needed, going above and beyond by making cookies and offering us a boat ride around the island! The offered concierge service is a great touch, it gives you plenty of options to customize your stay. The house had everything we could possibly need. Plenty of yard for activities and great location on the water.
