"The communal pool which was opposite the villa had showers and toilts, the pool was huge with comfortable beds around it. Quite a few tiles had come away on the bottom of the pool in rhe shallow end, but apart from that it was a great addition to the holiday. 5 mins drive to the centre of town with 3 good sized public car parks. The villa itself was very cool and comfortable."

"We stayed at Villa Romo for 10 days. The perfect place to get away and appreciate a slower pace and Spanish way of life. Carl & Maria were attentive throughout. Only snag was getting to the house on day one, as we were driving from Toledo. Managed to find the house before dark; a plus! The home is quite remote and it took us about 30 minutes to get there from the small town of Rio Gordo. (My advice is to buy groceries before you arrive.) "Villa is in a great location if you want to experience rural Spanish life in a mountain setting. However that comes with a couple of kilometre drive along a hilly country road which is in part unmade. If hiring a car, something to consider. At times power and water are off line but nothing too drastic. Property could have been cleaner for our arrival and requires new pool chairs. "Casa 14 was everything we were looking for . Quiet tranquil location yet not too far from the village for its bars , restaurants and historic centre . The outside ares and pool were beautifully maintained and the villa was really well equipped. We spent a month at Casa 14 but could happily stayed longer. A very tranquil relaxing atmosphere. The owners ,Mathilde and Jim ,were so helpful and always responded quickly to any questions we had. We would definitely return to this gorgeous property ."
