very comfortable room in a beautiful historic bldg

Posted 31-Mar-2016
Pros: I particularly liked the architecture and the fact that it was originally The Arctic Club and the decor was in keeping with this theme.
Cons: table service in the bar was spotty, I finally left after waiting for someone to clear the table where I had been sitting and take my order.
Location: There's a Top Pot Doughnuts on the same block but unfortunately it's closed on week-ends so I had to go to their main location, 2124 5th Avenue.
I was greeted by the front desk staff as soon as I entered, and given a thorough overview of everything, and easily found my way to my room. Whenever I left or arrived thereafter there was always a doorman to open the door and offer assistance. The room was very spacious with high ceilings and there was ample light from the large windows. The funishings very very comfortable. I appreciated the opportunity to stay in such a beautiful and historic building and I will definitely stay there again on my next visit to Seattle.

Classic, historic hotel - conveniently located.

Classic hotel in a neighborhood conveniently located for seeing what Seattle has to offer. A bit disappointed that the Polar Bar in the lobby was not available during my stay.

It was great. However, I was looking for coffee in the room and can't find it.

Nice hotel with cool decor. Great location just, a few minutes walk to the Link and other down town hot spots.

Not quite as good as it used to be

I was disappointed compared with prior stays. Still the same quiet luxury, and convenient location. I was most put off by quality of Wifi. They STILL charge for premium Wifi, even in these days, when it is expected. Of course you can sign up for the Hilton rewards, but I find this cheap marketing. Unfortunately I was only there overnight and forgot my cell phone charger, but, still... Also, I've always loved the coffee server drawer. However, tea bag choice skimpy, and coffee mate rather than 1/2 and 1/2. Room service tray in hall in PM still there when I left.

Great hotel with a couple things to watch out for

Posted 30-Nov-2015 on Hotels
The room was amazing. The staff and atmosphere of the entire location was a sight to see. Beautiful rooms with painstaking detail put into every corner of the architecture. Room was very clean and well put together. The Arctic Club is within walking distance to Benaroya Hall and lots of good eating so the location is perfect. There is a restaurant downstairs called Juno which has decent food but it is as equally overpriced as the valet. Valet is $45 which is more than I have ever paid at any other hotel but the public overnight parking in downtown Seattle is less than desirable so I went with it. I got a corner King bed room with a 2-person Jacuzzi tub. The tub was just slightly bigger than a 1-person tub and only fit 2 people if they scrunched in together. After we filled the tub we took showers in the morning (about 8-9 hours later) and the water was only room temperature warm.
