Not worth the money

Posted 20-Jul-2016
Very dark interior (former gentleman's club from the turn of the 20th century). Room was spacious, but air conditioner unit was so loud that it inhibited sleep. Room was not turned down or cleaned between first night and second night of a two night stay. Mini-bar wasn't restocked, garbage/recycling not taken care of, no clean towels. When paying upwards of $350 per night I find that ridiculous.

A Port in a Storm

Posted 04-Jul-2016
Pros: Excellent and interesting historic rehab
Cons: A bit pricey
Location: Great location close to the underground transportation Hub and Pioneer square. Walk out the door, spend three bucks and ride to Sea-Tac airport.
I was in another hotel and had a problem... my trip was extended but all the other hotels in this chain were full. My brand X hotel told me to vacate and there offered no help to locate another room in the area. The Arctic Club took me in on a moments notice, early in the morning, and even offered to go get my bag so I didn't have to miss any meetings. Great staff, beautiful hotel and really fun accessories (like a french coffee press in the room). I'm a fan and I'll be back!

Transportation is very convenient.

Tried to checkout at 12:45pm on Monday, however, the guy in reservation deck just said 'No' without any suggestion. It would be great if he could suggest me how to handle this situation. Also, water drainage in basin was not smooth.

Need a better description

Posted 01-Jun-2016
Pros: Central location.
Cons: Better food at Juno. Breakfast was expensive and the eggs overcooked on both meals.
Location: Pike Place, water front, Shopping, Football and Baseball stadiums.
Great room condition and facilities, excellent staff and attentiveness. But they need to be more descriptive about the room for the price point. We had 2 nights in a room costing 250.00 a night. We were given a room on the lobby floor, one level above the bus stop on 3rd street. Buses ran throughout the day and we had street noise until midnight both nights. It was a lovely room and nicely appointed, but when booking you, they should state your 250 doesn't get you off the ground floor. A polite but frank conversation about price point and room location would have been nice. I likely would have sprung for the difference.

Great old School yet very modern hotel

Posted 21-May-2016
Pros: great location, great rooms, great staff
Cons: my key kept demagnetizing, but that is probably my fault
Location: skyview observatory is two blocks away, underground tour is only three blocks away. Easy walk to Safeco and Century Link, Market
From check-in the staff was great Valets very friendly, front desk was super friendly and helpful on where to go and if you wanted would work you through the map. Sent up a couple of bottles of water as well. Rooms are in great condition the bathroom door was a kick, as it said "Bath" on the tempered glass. I dont know why but I got a kick out of that. Valet service was 46 a night, which is kind of steep, but hey its impossible to park in the area so deal with it. Bar was great as well for a couple of last drinks of the night. Bartenders poured with a heavy hand. Sky view observatory is just around the corner, but those are some steep hills. If better be prepared. also the market is only a 10-15 minute walk. Pioneer Square just three blocks away can get a little sketchy with the homeless issue at night, but there must be an invisible barrier because no one was ever camped out by the hotel.

Where's the coffee?

Posted 16-May-2016
Pros: Rich history and masculine feel.
Cons: Bathroom door had clear glass plate so needed to put towel over door for privacy.
Location: Pike place market in walking distance. Drawback was close proximity of industrial/construction areas all around.
A beautiful hotel with rich history! Easy to get to from Sea-Tac airport & within walking distance to Pike Place Market. My only disappointment: not one coffee shop or breakfast eatery open on Saturday morning!!

Great location.

Posted 10-May-2016
Pros: History feel. Cute room.
Cons: Some of the front desk staff was rude. Came back at 3:30 after being gone since 8 am and room wasn't cleaned.
Location: If you are a good walker the location is great. Walked all over the city.
The hotel is in a great location. We were able to walk everywhere. The hotel rooms are really cool and the hotel is housed in an historic building. Some of the. Front desk staff were not that friendly or helpful. Needed to find out how to get to another town that was 20 miles away and they were not helpful at all.
