"The hotel is well located. I stayed in the annexe room at the rear of the building accessed through a small yard at the back. Recently decorated the room was clean, warm and surprisingly quiet. Bed was very comfortable, and a very spacious bathroom with nice thick towels. My only criticism would be that there is a strong smell of new carpet in the bedroom "

You mentioned that you would mend it but it was not for last 2days. There was hardly much for the breakfast, just basic. I had not had my breakfast for last 2 days. "Stay in a working monastery! The buildings and extensive grounds are superb. The grounds and gardens are well tended, and make for an extremely pleasant stroll. The place oozes character and makes a memorable visit. All this on the outskirts of Huddersfield. The rooms are basic but clean. Breakfast is only "continental", offering cereals, muesli, yoghurt, plenty of fresh bread for toast and lots of strong filter coffee. The staff are friendly and welcoming."
