"Overall: I liked it. It was perfect for what I needed. Generally clean and had everything I needed. I would stay again. - Bathroom - logically laid out (big points for this) and generally clean. Didn’t have to twist around to find the tp dispenser. Shower was just a shower (nice because I usually don’t use a tub on destination travel anyway). - Amenities - There was an in room hair dryer locked to the room wall (not bathroom, so ideal when traveling with multiple people). There was a water vending machine in the lobby. Couldn’t get it to work but the prices were reasonable compared to outside. Elevator was pretty quick to call and ride. Some hall lights flickered. The room was fairly spacious and the bed was surprisingly not a twin or 2 twin beds in a trench coat. Outlet access worked for me. There was a plug behind the night stand and one by the hair dryer in my room. - Closet - There was none, there was a wide coat rack which was what I needed for my wet clothes to dry after a rain storm. Was also cleaner and easier to check if I had forgotten anything when checking out than a regular closet. - Other - the room was not the most sound proof. Not really a problem for me on this trip. The check in process was all online. Filled in forms right after booking and didn’t worry again until check in day. The codes were released to me at check in time via the website which had a countdown until they were available Location - convenient for tours and walking/shopping"

The area's storied past is told through its monuments and historic sites, while the museums provide some cultural flavor. There's plenty to do in the area, such as shopping and taking a tour. You'll find the great outdoors at parks like Jardim do Morro Park, Crystal Palace Gardens, and Boavista Square. At Passeio Alegre Park, Cidade do Porto Park, and Senhor da Pedra Chapel, take some time to really appreciate nature. Plan to do some shopping while in town? Consider Ferreira Borges Market, Bolhao Market, and Cidade do Porto Shopping Centre. Sandeman Cellars, Offley Cellars, or Real Companhia Velha Cellars will provide yet another welcomed diversion.
A couple of the most popular attractions in the area are Museum of Port Wine and Casa da Musica. You can also visit Porto Coliseum, Aliados Square, and Serra do Pilar Monastery.
