"nice and clean"

"Book a 2 bed room as pay at property. One hour before check-in time my card was charged for the room. I hadn't even made it to Galveston yet. Got there, checked in, went to the room, and they had given us a one bed. Room smelled like boiling cabbage. Loaded stuff back into the car, went to the office, and Sharon asked for the card back, said she would cancel it on her end, and gave us a card to call at 7am the next morning for a refund. Called shortly after 8am and message said they didn't open until 11am. It is now 2:07pm and still trying to get it straightened out. The only positive thing about the experience was Sharon was nice and we luckily found a much nicer room somewhere else. "

"I paid extra money to enjoy the pool and its services. Unfortunately the pool side seating was esthetically pleasing BUT staff didn't open service till well after 3pm when we were informed it should open at 2pm. No outside drinks or food are permitted on pool side, maybe next don't pay and arrive to relax unless you dont want a cold beverage by the pool. "

"Guest desk was very nice. We got to our room, we heard a yapping dog. We went back to the desk and they moved us right away. Easy to find, good parking. Only complaint, the floor looked clean, but I spilled some water and wiped it up with a bath towel and the towel was black! So dirty! "

"Room was a bit noisy bc it overlooked the pool, and the elevator was right next to us and made really annoying sounds- but everything else was pretty perfect!"

"We have stayed here for years to go on a cruises but absolutely will never stay again. I originally checked in at 3 o’clock and was told that the room wasn’t ready to come back in an hour, when we came back in an hour the person that checked us in was no longer there and the new desk clerk stated she couldn’t give us a room due to a washing machine was broken. The desk clerk advised me that I never paid for the room and that she was writing people’s names down on sticky notes and there were seven people ahead of me that would get a room first. When I explained I had paid for the room and even had a parking pass she told me “I don’t care” I’m doing what I want to. At one point I was told if I didn’t like it I could cancel and I could just leave her lobby. We ended up having to sit in our car for another 3 1/2 hours waiting for a room, we only got a room when my husband had to go in and beg for a room. We had booked a deluxe room and she told us there’s no such thing as a deluxe room at that hotel that the Expedia site was wrong This is not true. We have stayed there for years, the rooms in the tower at the back have an elevator, and are deluxe rooms. I have never have been through anything like this before "
