"Great place for a family visit or conference. My only complaint is thin walls, and much of the public, regardless of nationality, seems to have forgotten what it means to stay in a shared space while speaking in hushed tones. The people who work here are caring and kind, but hotel guests need some training. "

"This is an amazing property with a book/library theme throughout. Perfect, as Coimbra is famous for its library and University. Decoration and finishes very unique. Bed was comfortable. Breakfast fabulous with a roof top patio overlooking the city. Right next door to a shopping and restaurant district. Great Faro music events in the neighborhood. Take an Uber up to the University and Library, (its a long, steep, hot walk otherwise.) Boutique Hotel with only 3 rooms to a floor. STAY HERE!"

"Nice spacious rooms. Had lots of facilities like swimming pool etc, but were not explained at the time of check-in. Clean and breakfast was good with good selection. Missing - tea/coffee percolator in the rooms. The earliest you could have a beverage was when the restaurant opened - 10 am. Restaurant for other meals - tried dinner once and decided to avoid and rather go to a couple of smallish restaurants in the vicinity. Check out - had a poor experience. Came to the front desk (5:30 am) and told the reception person (Ricky) that I would come in 10 minutes and wanted him to have my bills ready. Came and no one was at the reception! Had to wait and ring the desk bell repeatedly for over 15 minutes (time was of the essence since had a flight from Lisbon). So in short bad checkout experience."
