"The owner was lovely and helpful with suggestions for places to eat dinner. We were given a choice for the type of breakfast that we wished to eat - continental, cooked breakfast or a cooked vegetarian breakfast. Easy walking distance to the local pub, which serves excellent food. The room was comfy, as was the bed. We had an amazing nights sleep. The only negative was that even though the bathroom was for our own personal use, we had to exit our room to use it."

"A modern hotel with dining facilities. Very good food and and breakfast. Staff were all very friendly and helpful. Located in the town close to a supermarket and fuel. About 20 miles to John O Groats. The room was comfortable and spacious with a town view. This was our last stop on the NC500. Upon leaving it was easy to get to the A9 which we took all the way to Pitlochry. A good road. Meals were not included in the price but were good value given that the hotel cost was very reasonable."

"The room was very well appointed, clean, spacious, quiet and cool (it was very warm during our stay). The staff was professional, pleasant and polite, making us feel very welcome. The one issue was the lack of a shower mat and the shower tray being too slippery, specially after you had soap everywhere."

"It was located bang on city centre and walkable access to eating places. Host of property was amazing and added a personal touch to the stay which made it more wonderful. It was noisy for us on weekend night as there are also clubs nearby. "
