Once a water powered funicular railway the South Cliff lift is now electric and costs a couple of pounds.

The room was out dated and in need of a little TLC, my room was big a double bed, toilet and bath/shower the only other i would complain about was tje radiators stayed on most of tue night, not everyone feels the cold

Comfortable bed, some noise from people on the landing as there was a gap at the bottom of the door but this was only a minor inconvenience. Friendly staff, plenty of teacand coffee in the room too.
