Ocean Views. (Casita #4) Casitas Del Mar unit #4 is a large, beautifully styled home with a spectacular Ocean View and private pool also with an ocean view. Designed by an award winning architect this lovely Casita has everything you want and more. Marble floors throughout makes this a unique romantic getaway. Spectacular Ocean views from the living room, balcony and bedroom. Sayulita topography is hilly. It descends down into the village and beach which is flat. To get a great view of the ocean or jungle you either have to climb a hill, or be on the ocean front which is much more expensive. My casas are up a short (50 meter) but steep driveway. If you have disabilities that make walking difficult this is probably not the right place for you. They overlook the village below and the ocean beyond. We are right in the village but above it. You can walk to the village or beach in 5 minutes. Because of the height, you have a sweeping view of the ocean and always a fresh breeze coming off the ocean. That is what makes it worth the walk up the hill. I live in a mixed neighborhood of American and Mexican nationals. Sayulita is a festive and noisy village. There are always fiestas, music, and parades. Since Covid ended we have an influx of highly accomplished musicians from a bar close by, you will hear some of the best jazz, blues, salsa, and rock. On the weekends they crank up the music louder. If you are a light sleeper or need to block out the sound, bring ear plugs, or you can use a white noise fan aid from YouTube. If your earphones connect to the smart phone, the white noise fan should solve the problem. The great majority of guests are not bothered by the sounds of Sayulita. My casas are constructed with organic and traditional Mexican architecture in mind. From marble and vintage tile, or clay tile floors to palapa roofs (depending which casa). When I am here you may always text me or stop in to ask questions or seek help. When I am out of town my property manager, Jose is here to help. Please let us know when you need more purified water, toilet paper, soap, or garbage bags. I have 5 African dry land tortoises that live outside. They roam about in their space most of the day sunning and looking for something to eat. Please don\`t feed them except Nopales cactus which I grow. They will eat out of your hand. This was our 5th time visiting Sayulita and easily our favorite rental. The casita’s layout is perfect for a couple. Plenty of space, good air conditioning, a comfortable bed and couch, reliable WiFi, and amazing artwork throughout. The pool is the cherry on top. Perfect temperature and very private. As others have said, the house is atop a pretty steep hill. Our Uber struggled on the way up, but we had no problem walking up and down. Our golf cart also had no issues. Highly recommend for visitors who want to be close to town, but far/high enough that the noise doesn’t bother you. We’ll be back! ##### Ryan D. Jose Manuel was so sweet. The view was amazing especially with the lightning storms we got to watch from our balcony. Loved dipping in the pool to cool off when we got home. Kinda fell in love with a neighbors kitty. She is so sweet. The hill is a little bit of a workout but we got a golf cart which made it fun. ##### Jennifer H. My husband and I stayed here for a week. It was absolutely lovely. Like others have said- there is a bit of noise and hill to climb to get to the house. The hill is quite steep but does have some stairs so it’s not too bad! The music is loud at night but we just played some music to go to bed. The private pool is delightful and the house has everything you could need. If staying in Sayulita this is a great property and so close to the main town square but far enough out of the business that you feel at peace! ##### Jacqueline S. My Casita exceeded expectations...view was incredible, the place was fantastic, much larger and spacious than I thought (I can usually tell by pics), had everything you needed and more. Greg, the host, was extremely hospitable, gracious and provided me with the best recommendations to truly enjoy my time in Sayulita. His Manager Jose was also wonderful, thoughtful and a great resource. In 20+ VRBOs, I have never engaged this much (and thoroughly enjoyed) with a host before, so much so I plan to come back in February. 5 stars, only because there isnt an option for 6...! ##### Elliot S. The listing was spot on. We were prepared to walk the hill every time we left the house and by the time our stay was over we could walk it no problem. Having everything within walking distance was awesome. The pool gets some sun between 1-4 and warms it up. We spent most of our time in the loungers on the covered patio taking in the views! The house never got too hot, but we did close the bedroom door and run the a/c in the room at night to stay comfortable. We tried several restaurants that Greg said were his favorite and they did not disappoint! Highly recommend staying here and we will definitely book again next time we are in the area. ##### Jared F. The location is excellent--you can walk everywhere. The beach and food and bars are all a few steps away. The casita itself is beautiful and the pool and outdoor areas have an awesome view. We made friends with an iguana that kept walking back and forth! The host was amazingly helpful--he reached out to make sure everything was OK (it was). I will say though that the hill that is mentioned is no joke. The casita and view are worth it for sure and I will stay here again, but I did find myself gearing up for it...after stuffing myself with great food and drinks it took some mental toughness. LOL. but again, I can't stress enough that the climb was totally worth it and I felt a little less guilty about my many indulgences throughout the trip each time we made it to the top. To make a long story short, I was considering booking his place for a cousins wedding in San Pancho, 15 minutes north. By mistake I pressed something and VRBO said "you're booked"! I was not ready to book as I was considering places closer to the wedding location in San Pancho. I instantly messaged Greg that my booking was a mistake and requested to cancel. Greg missed the message as can happen in life. 5 months later, I was charged in full as if I had stayed and I got a VRBO message "how was your stay?". I contacted Greg and he reversed the charge and reimbursed me in full. Not something you want to happen as a VRBO owner, but Greg was honest and came through. Hope to stay at his place one fine day!
