Popular tourist areas such as River Street and City Market are just a 5-minute walk away, while Savannah's local green space - Forsyth Park - is about 20 minutes away on foot or five minutes by car. Once you're here, you will not want to move out! Hurry and reserve your stay! Getting Around: We think that walking around town is the best way to see the city! If riding is more your speed, we are a quick and inexpensive Uber or taxi to all of the downtown attractions. The free DOT trolley picks up just a couple of blocks away and runs every fifteen minutes to the Historic District too! If you drove here, park on one of the many available metered on-street spots and walk or ride around Savannah. Meters are free every day after 8 pm. They are also free on Sundays and federal holidays. You can also secure a parking pass for the city through the visitor center. It's a great spot to start your stay by grabbing tons of information and flyers for local businesses. \*\* Note: Attention must be paid to the street sweeping schedule to avoid a parking fine when parking on the street. There are signs posted on the side of the road with sweeping times. Simply move your vehicle to a street that is not getting swept that day to avoid a ticket.
