Though we've fully updated our Savannah vacation rentals with modern comforts, we've made sure to keep many of the beautiful historic elements intact. Exposed brick and stone, a fireplace, and arched French doors add vintage charm to the home.
The heart of 1852 Gardens is the central living space. This open floor plan includes a cozy seating area with a couch, armchairs, and ottomans. The room contains a television for watching all your favorite shows and eclectic, global-inspired decor. Tall French doors let in light and provide a lovely view of the garden outside. This part of the home also includes a dining table with two chairs, so you can have a spot to enjoy a lazy breakfast or host a dinner party.
To the side of the living space is a fully-equipped kitchen. An antique fireplace and hutch reference the home's historic past, while stainless steel appliances and white subway tile add a touch of modernity. Savannah is one of the oldest cities in the nation, so it is home to beautiful Colonial and Victorian architecture. Southern Belle Pool Our guests have access to our beautiful, heated pool that is located at 19 Silver Ave, Tybee Island, GA 31328. For our Savannah properties it is a scenic 25-minute drive through Wilmington and Whitemarsh Island, taking you over the Savannah River Delta onto Tybee Island.

Everything about the stay was great. We seemed to have everything to ourselves. Back garden was wonderful and the location to everything was great. Would stay again.
The apartment was clean and roomy, and the kitchen was well equipped. Easy walk to restaurants, shopping, and so many attractions including beautiful Forsyth Park.
A cool, well-appointed 1 bedroom walkout with good kitchen, and charming back courtyard. Close to the park, squares in historic downtown. Really enjoyed the place, the host was super responsive.
We loved this comfortable little place! Within walking distance of the downtown area and Forsyth Park. Quiet neighborhood. Loved the kitchen and living room area. Plenty of street parking and only had to pay for one day.
This property was perfect for our honeymoon in Savannah. The home is lovely and the location is absolutely perfect. It’s close to shopping, dining, Forsyth Park, and the local Kroger for necessities. Everything is walkable. Management was really easy to communicate with and very responsive. Would definitely stay here again!

We loved our stay! We would return. Make sure to buy your kitchen and bath preferences right away as the Krogers is really the best place to shop. We took an Uber fast and easy. Lovely parks nearby and it’s a very walkable city.

This property is exactly as advertised. This rental had everything we needed and is beautifully furnished with a gorgeous courtyard. It was a scorcher during our visit, the air worked perfectly. Location, location, location. This is it.
Wonderful location and the apartment was comfortable with one major exception - the sofa is old, saggy and uncomfortable and the toss pillows on it were shapeless and grungy. Replacements are in order.
Perfect location for exploring historical Savannah.
The home is beautiful, clean and spacious. We couldn't have asked for a better experience. We did not have a vehicle and it didn't stop us from enjoying a lot of what Savannah had to offer since everything is within walking distance. We also took advantage of the swimming pool on Tybee Island which was the only need to have a driving service other than the trip to and from the airport. You do share the beautiful courtyard with neighbors, but that was clear on the site and did not bother us at all. Everyone we met was welcoming and lovely. I highly recommend this property.
The property and location are spectacular / superb. Beyond beautiful! Elegant.
That said, our view is that the owners OVER-commumicate! It went from reassuring to annoying to insulting. We did not need to be told sooooo many times we'd be evicted immediately if the police were called for any reason.
We loved the location and how easy it was to get everywhere by biking/ walking. The queen bed was very uncomfortable and after a long day of walking/bike riding it would've been nice to sleep somewhere a bit more comfy. The house itself was beautiful and loved the decor. The dryer also did not dry clothes, it ran 5 cycles on the hottest cycle and still the three pairs of jeans were not dry. Thankfully we air dried them outside one the chairs in the garden which was way faster.
People come to Savannah for different reasons. For my desire to stay in historic Savannah, this location was perfect. The unit is on a quiet street, with 3 beautiful squares within a 2-block radius (love those oak trees!). If you like walking, most of historic Savannah is within walking distance (ex. the Historic Theatre is a very nice 1/2 mile walk, going through 3 small squares).
The apartment's vibe fits into the quaintness of the neighborhood. I think it's the dark slate tile throughout the unit. Everything feels like quality ... nothing worn, feels like new. VERY comfortable bed. It's a nice layout, with plenty of space for two people.
Kitchen/bathroom supplies are provided. But, as with any vrbo, bring some of your own ... cooking spices (salt/pepper provided), cooking oil, and tissue come to mind.
Overall, I give this unit my vaulted "hidden gem" status. Will stay here again on my next visit to Savannah.
Pros:
Lovely apartment in a great location, walking distance to many restaurants and shops. A block from the beautiful Forsyth Park and 1/2 block to the free bus stop (download the app). Plenty of street parking. Saturday Farmers Market at the park.
Cons: There is no privacy. Owners and guests coming and going most days. And with no window coverings, we felt like we were in a fishbowl.
Lots of noise from the owners upstairs. Heavy footfalls, loud conversations (we could hear every word), singing, parties. If you're looking for peaceful, this may not be the place for you.
We agree with another reviewer who mentioned the lumpy sofa and pillows. Kitchen utensils need serious updating. We never did find the trash and recycling bins behind the house.
We liked the apartment, but noise was too much for us. We wouldn't stay there again.
We had a great stay. Very cozy apartment. Great location wirh easy access to hop on hop off bus tour. Park your car and use the tour bus. We'd stay here again
