Originally the caretaker home for a prominent Savannah estate, this carriage house provides all modern amenities while immersing you in Savannah’s historical past. Enjoy beautiful touches like original hardwood floors, a custom kitchen, built-in bookshelves, and more. Minutes to Forsyth Park. 17 minutes to SAV International. SVR-02598 The Space: Enter the carriage house through the manor’s private entrance on Drayton Street. Also enjoy entrances located in a shared courtyard filled with greenery, washed brick, and an elegant fountain. Enter using your door code and step directly into the quaint living space featuring a small sofa, an original wood-burning fireplace, and beautiful built-in bookshelves. Directly connected to the living room is a fully custom kitchen featuring floor-to-ceiling cabinetry, granite countertops, and a peninsula island set for two. The kitchen provides you with all the essentials you need to cook, including pots, pans, cooking utensils, and more. A coffee maker, microwave, toaster, and blender ensure you have everything you need. Connected to the living space by beautiful French doors is the primary bedroom. This smaller room is incredibly cozy, providing a brand-new queen mattress with fresh linens accentuated by natural light pouring in through three large windows. Built-in cabinets, a closet, and a nightstand provide ample storage space for extended stays. Atop the staircase is the unit's single bathroom featuring a shower/tub combination with a single vanity and toilet. Residing just one city block north of Forsyth park, you can take full advantage of peaceful morning walks through one of Savannah’s staple destinations. Enjoy the greenspaces of Monterey Square and Calhoun Square, all just minutes from your doorstep. With a stay at the manor, you have ample choices for dining and entertainment. Grab a casual meal at the trendy Collins quarter at Forsyth or enjoy some fine southern dining at 700 Drayton Restaurant. If you find free parking near the apartment, stay there! You can walk to just about anything in the City! :) Other Things to Note: This is the apartment above the garage, or "Carriage House" that's connected to 2 other units via the courtyard. This is the only shared space on the property. It's up to guests if they want to use that space or not. We recommend using the Park Savannah app to pay the City meters. Clean, comfortable bed, bright and cheery and quick and friendly communication. The kitchen was very well equipped. Super location. Wonderful safe walking to everywhere you might want to visit. It had all the amenities that you would need or wish for. Booked last minute (literally as we fled FL), and communication was great. Walking distance to everything, great way to see Savannah. This place was great. Very updated, beautiful and clean. The historic area is wonderful as is the property. Easy to get in and out, great contact from the owners. Everything was clean and fresh. Lovely living area and kitchen, with cozy bedroom and efficient bath that has quirky rocking toilet. Convenient location in historic Savannah district -- just steps to free DOT trolley as well as doable walks to many nearby attractions. That convenience has a downside -- recommend ear plugs for sleeping as Drayton Street is busy and loud. Note that living space requires carrying luggage up a full flight of stairs. ##### Daniel W. Absolute perfection for my daughter & myself! Beautiful property with the convenience of being right in the historic district. Walking distance to beautiful Forsyth Park, Jones Street, and the historical squares. The property was tastefully decorated with hardwood stairs and floors. The queen bed was very comfortable. We enjoyed relaxing and reading in the private garden terrace. We will definitely book this property on our next stay in Savannah. ##### Rickie S. There was a mix up of dates of my stay and had to change properties on VRBO to accommodate our plans. I think I was charged for this change even though I don’t think it was my fault. Property manager stayed in contact. Beautiful property, location was a bit further than I thought, but we enjoyed the walk. Overall we enjoyed our stay. On the down side the bedroom faces the street so if you’re a light sleeper you may not like it. Another thing was parking, there was none. You can meter park one block over, luckily it was the weekend and didn't have to pay. I will also add that the couches should be cleaned or replaced. ##### Lys D. When I first arrived, I immediately felt at peace. The decor on the lower living area had a very relaxing vibe. The stairs leading up to the upper level are well maintained and I did not feel insecure going up or down. Upstairs is also beautifully decorated and I was pleasantly surprised to see coffee and amenities already present. Though small, the bathroom is very practical and served its purpose. Shampoo and conditioner pumps were full and ready to use. The bed was perfect! I came into town for.a marathon and it was warm and for me just the right amount of firm and supportive. I loved there was a luggage stand and easy access to any cleaning supplies. It was just a little less than a mile walk to most of the places I wanted To see and loads that were even closer. Because of the events of the weekend, I parked in one of the parking decks because street parking was few and far between and I knew some roads would be blocked. If you have a lot of luggage-I’m not sure the best course for unloading. It would be nice if there were designated spots, but I’m sure that’s not possible. It would also be nice if you could unload where the garage doors are, but I also don’t know what the city thinks about that. Communication was super easy and Chase was on it when it came to responses to any questions I had. I would definitely stay there again! ##### Tanya D.
