The apartment is right down the street from Colonial Park Cemetery (a fantastic stop on the ghost tours), one block from Crawford square, perfect for quiet morning strolls. You will be just an 18-minute walk from Forsyth Park and the Savannah Waterfront featuring amazing southern dining experiences. Grab lunch or a highly reviewed brunch at Collins Quarter at Forsyth. Stop in for a fantastic lunch or dinner with trendy cocktails at The Public Kitchen & Bar. Want a fine dining experience surrounded by history? Getting Around: Though you can walk to almost everything, there are multiple options to get around the City. There is a FREE hop-on/hop-off trolley/shuttle bus that picks you up just a couple of blocks away. This runs all through the historic with multiple stops by attractions. The City also recently added The Downtowner, which is essentially a FREE uber-style ride share that you can use daily from 5pm-5am. Aside from that, Uber/Lyft is always a good option to quickly get where you need to go. Though we do not have off-street parking, there is almost always plenty of metered street parking right in front of the house. Easy to pay through the Park Savannah app with your smart phone or just physically swipe your card. Other Things to Note: This unit is the entire upstairs of a duplex, so please be respectful of your volume between 10PM - 8AM as there are other guests below you. Absolutely no parties. Only the number of guests listed on the reservation is permitted at the property. No illicit activities, peddling, or soliciting are allowed on the property. Do not smoke on the property or near the home. Clean up all smoke butts. Must be 21 years of age to drink alcohol. Report all damaged property to the property owner immediately. What a wonderful place to stay. It is away from the River area which makes it quiet and relaxing. If you want to go to the river it is just a short walk away. Parking was a breeze and we just loved walking to dinner and strolling the historic district from here. There is a lovely oak tree that shades the porch for coffee/drinks, great kitchen, comfortable bed and nicely decorated living room for lounging. The space was immaculate, with tasteful touches, high ceilings, and lots of Savannah history throughout the apartment. My favorite was the balcony, where we drank coffee every morning, overlooking a gorgeous, old Live Oak tree. It was very quiet during our stay. This place is walkable to anywhere! We just walked right out the door and went to River Street, and the downtown Savannah area with lots of shopping and restaurants. Forsyth Park is also just around the corner, where we enjoyed going for jogs in the morning. There is metered parking right in front of the apartment,which costs $12/day (if you leave your car all day) Mon-Sat 8-6pm. It's easy to pay in the Park Savannah app, however, we did get one $12 ticket when we forgot to pay one morning! The hosts were very communicative. My wife and I stayed for a weekend get away. We found the the apartment to be spacious, clean, well kept, and in a great location! We had no problem walking to restaurants, bars, and down the the river. The bathroom is a touch tight for us both to get ready in, but there are plenty of mirrors and tables so it was not problem. The Park Savannah app was also very convenient and we were alerted to it by the property managers before our arrival. I will seek out this property again when we return to Savannah.
