Just a few blocks from Forsyth Park, this pet friendly home has everything you’ll need for a weekend getaway or longer, extended stay. This beautifully updated 1 bedroom home has a comfortable back porch, and all the amenities you need for a short stay or an extended vacation. This home features original hardwood floors, a huge bathroom with shower, and an amazing designer kitchen. The large, modern living room has two French doors that let in plenty of natural light, and lead to the front porch. Decorated with local art, the large flat-screen TV is set upon an easel and can be seen from anywhere in the room. Pocket doors lead into the eat-in kitchen. The large island and stainless steel appliances make cooking a pleasure. Enjoy a quick meal at the breakfast bar or an intimate dinner at your private table for two. Just off the kitchen is the renovated full bath, which has a large vanity and a shower with a built-in seat. The King bed is perfect for curling up in after a long day of exploring Savannah. The large closet provides plenty of space to unpack and settle in, and includes the convenience of a stackable washer and dryer. Why Lucky Savannah Loves this Property: \- Our favorite local package store (Johnnie Ganem’s), national grocer (Kroger’s), and local caffeine spot (Mate Factor Cafe) are all within a 1 block walk. \- Southern Comfort is not only dog friendly, but one of the few rentals in Savannah with flexible pet size restrictions. Non-metered Parking This unit has free, on-street parking right outside the front door. Availability will depend on time of day and season. Our guests have not reported trouble parking near the home, even on the busiest of weekends. We loved the charm of this cottage. It looks exactly as in the photos. The back porch and garden were a nice quiet spot to sit and have coffee in the morning or a glass of wine at the end of the day. We liked that the garden area is fenced in so our dog could walk freely around for a bit while we sat on the porch. The cottage had all the amenities we needed, although the ice maker in the refrigerator did not work. The location is on a nice quiet street but it is a good walk to the River Walk and shops. The vacation rental was clean. I was very happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The house was in a great location. Easy walking distance to any location around historic district. The pictures provided of the rental itself were 70% accurate but were likely several years old. Front porch depicted in photo was not as depicted with furnishings & very dirty so not inviting as pictured. The interior space was nice and it was clean but the actual furniture was beginning to show age. Kitchen was updated but for an extended stay was very lacking in cooking utensils. Only one usable pan and no pots or baking wear. Luckily the location is in easy walking distance to restaurants. A grocery store is a 10 minute walk. The wood floors could stand some repairs. Overall a nice place for short stays but would not recommend anything longer than a week. ##### Roger M. Reviewer Comments: This home was perfect for my husband, myself and my pup for a long weekend in Savannah. For a 1/1 I was surprised at how spacious it was. It was very clean and well kept. The location was great; walking distance to Forsyth Park and a cute coffee and mate shop a block over. It’s about a mile to river street so bring good walking shoes if you’re not going to Uber or drive. The door code we were given was incorrect, but a simple phone call and the issue was rectified, so the management company is readily available if there are any issues. The one downfall I will say was the neighbors upstairs were SO loud and sounded like they were running back and forth with cement shoes on the entire weekend. We were up at 6am every day because of them and it continued on through the day. This is one thing that would cause me to not stay here again.
