My wife and mother were very impressed with the art work and furnishings. We had a very pleasant stay at the Anderson House. Parking on the street was not a problem and there was public parking in the ally behind the house during non-business hours of the library. This was a good value considering the other prices in Savannah. There are some small things that need to be fixed on the property, trim in the master bathroom, a few floor boards, cracked tile in the kitchen, cable did not work in one of the bedrooms. Refrigerator condensate drain leaks into the kitchen floor we called Vacasa and let them know but no one ever showed up to look at the leak. I just glad that it was not bad enough to cause any property damage for the homeowners sake. We will stay here again if we ever make it back to Savannah. ##### John W. The big thing here is the parking. It’s a busy street and you park across from the house . No reserved parking so you can walk quite a bit to get back to the house . You can’t park at all when street cleaners come so that was another issue . We couldn’t find a spot except up the street and AROUND the corner . Being from out of state we had no idea where we could park safely. If that had been told to us we might have chosen another place to stay . Arrived Thursday and tried to exit home and the door knob was stripped. Our smallest person had to go out the back, shimmy between 2 houses, come out in the neighbor yard, to let us out of the house. Reported to no avail. The upstairs main shower runs out into the Butler pantry downstairs. So we only had 1 shower working upstairs. Again reported. Nothing for 3 days. The refrigerator runs fire hot and if you touch the inside panels, it burns angain reported. The smoke detector had a constant beep, reported - never fixed. On Sat the property man finally showed up at the house and said he couldn’t fix anything but would get our money back for the nightmare 4 day stay. That was also a joke because all I’ve been told is “sorry”. 5 women trapped in a house with no way out except an 18” space between 2 houses and if it did catch fire, who would know, the smoke detector was already beeping. Now there’s a pleasant sound to hear day and night for 4 straight. We just had to stay outside. The whole set up was a big fat wash!! ##### Melissa T. Subject Here you again , as a part- renter of the Big House on Anderson St , in Savannah GA; 1\. The Good, Nice house in a what appears to be nice neighborhood, with the convenience of a corner store/gas station / parking lot one block from the house. 2\. Not some good for 1\. security and privacy was my biggest and main concerns. 1\. No back door Dead bolt key I did feel secure with just the door handle lock. 2\. The maintenance man living in the of the house who was constantly doing busy work in the front yard with no shirt on and on the back porch smoking possibly looking into the house back door and windows. I had to purchase paper to cover the full glass door and large windows to achieve some privacy. At one point he brought up the hose and had water all on the front porch. You couldn't sit there without having your shoes in water. The twin beds needs either a new bed frames or box springs the squeaking every time you move was annoying and it was no TV in the room. ##### Jonathan D. We arrived late and the first night we heard what appeared to be gun shots........ the following mornina to see police cars at the end of the street. The day was The day was further complicated by the neighbor in back of the property coming by to retrieve the owners mail. We called the 800 number to see if this was acceptable and was told they would speak to him. Less than 3 hours later he walked onto the porch and opened the screen door UNANNOUNCED to retrieve an Amazon package. He constantly stayed on his patio with a birds eye view to our kitchen We closed the barn doors so he could only see into the kitchen and not the main room…..... this prevented us from enjoying the sun. We felt like we were under constant surveillance. He slept with his door opened all night We thought this would be a great experience for our adult kids but instead we left 2 days early. The house itself was pretty;however, the master shower could not be used secondary to the water pooling in the shower and not draining. The ice maker did not work Television in second bedroom did not work (cable) Busy street lots of street noise Lastly there was no place to put the trash so we had to keep lots if trash stored in the kitchen ##### Jonathan F. Loved the style and personality of the home! The beds were sooo comfortable and cozy..just what we needed after a busy day/night out on the wonderful town of Savannah! The only reason I didn't give it a 5, was because I wasn't to comfortable in the home with all women and the kitchen and bar area didn't have any blinds to the windows. The windows were beautiful but when you're in a strange area traveling with all women you don't want to be exposed, especially when you have such close neighbors..all around you. ##### Cynthia R. We loved the design elements, and perfectly comfortable furniture and beds. Super nice bedding, plenty of space. Only suggestion is a few more coffee cups (only 2 were there) and maybe a bit more plates .
