The host is a rock star. Every detail of the boat was perfect for us. The location - perfect. The houseboat community - welcoming, genuine and people you want to meet. The houseboat itself - awesomely authentic with every need met. Super clean, amazing bed and linens, every kitchen utensil imaginable. September was an amazing month for us with awesome weather. Heading out in the mornings on the kayak was soul enriching. Wine on the back deck or apps on top can't be beat.The only potential drawback would be for someone who is not used to living on a houseboat. It's a somewhat unique experience - close quarters, clothes storage. But if you are at all experienced with even a short stay on a boat, then those issues are simply not an issue.It rained only a few days so we were blessed.Be sure to check out the weekly farmers market right around the corner; it's worth it. What a wonderful hidden gem. Dog friendly and just right for 2 adults (or 2 adults +1 child). The host was responsive and helpful at every turn of the tides and all the necessary info was included. The small bay is full of harbor seals (including some very young pups) and various birds. Excellent restaurants are quite literally a stones throw away and shopping along the strip can consume an afternoon (as well as your wallet). The Gettin Nauti held up well in a couple of storms and the outside furnishings didn't take on much water and thus dried out very quickly indeed. The shower is decent size for a boat (the water piping hot and plenty of it) but the head will take some getting used to (hey, it's a boat). All in all I absolutely LOVED rolling out of bed and into a kayak. Will visit again! ##### Michael T. Such a cool and unique experience to stay on a boat as opposed to a house. It's certainly tight quarters on the boat, but all of the space is highly usable. The incredible weather means you're able to enjoy grilling on the front deck, sip coffee in the morning on the swim deck while watching the cloud bank move over the city, or take in the lights from the observation deck at night. Shower is a little tight, but there are larger facilities available at the front of the marina. Didn't get a chance to take the kayak out on the water, but had fun watching all of the recreational activities in the bay - including some curious seals. Definitely enjoyed being rocked to sleep each night with the waves and the marina was nice and quiet.
