The welcome ,environment ,service and cuisine were excellent .The whole ambience was relaxing and enjoyable .I would not hesitate to visit this hotel again .
Tucked in the forrest 17 minute drive from airport
I wish we could have had longer set in the countryside. They were very obliging we had to leave early in the morning so they gave us some food to take away. There is a restaurant serving some of the best food we havs had in italy.
We were driving from UK to Rome and booked Ca'Vecchia before we set off, due to its proximity to the A1 autostrada. A little difficult to find but OK if you follow the signs carefully from the main road through Sasso Marconi. Going south, you have to drive past the town then loop back from the next junction.
The hotel is quite an old house - literally - so don't expect it to be modern. The furniture in our room was a random collection of old items, but the bed was comfortable and the room was air-conditioned.
The hotel staff were very friendly and the food in the restaurant was superb. The other diners seemed to be local people so we had a sense that we were seeing real Italy.
My wife wanted to stay at Ca'Vecchia on our return journey and we would have done but for our decision to head further west towards Torino.
Big room, but not very convenient for business.
No english or any other foreign television channels.
Primitive furnishing in bathroom, no space to put your toothbrush or soap in the shower, but clean.
