We really enjoyed our stay at the Gideon Putnam Hotel in Saratoga Springs. The hotel was very well done, especially in the way it has preserved its traditional, historic look and feel. It has a beautiful old-world charm that makes the experience feel authentic, while still being comfortable and welcoming. A lovely place to stay if you appreciate history, character, and classic elegance.

Paint peeling on repainted fixtures in bathroom, as well as some mold. Very loud AC. Weird synthetic smell in room and windows don’t open. Bed was comfortable. Cleaning staff was very nice. Good location.

Lovely hotel that is a step back in time. Took advantage of the mineral Springs tour from hotel this time, it was great. I enjoy the pool too. This is my 3rd time at this hotel and I will be back. Only wish the shuttle to downtown ran later .

Beautiful setting, well maintained, historic property. Walking distance to SPAC which is why we stayed there. Very pet friendly. The downside - The shuttle service wasn’t as reliable as we hoped. Beds were unusually high and not especially comfortable. I guess we just expected a slightly more luxury experience with the nightly price point.

What an amazing experience! I just loved traveling back in time. What a beautiful hotel! A shuttle to the casino as well as the race track could not have been more convenient. The hotel is in the middle of endless bike paths for a peaceful run and walk. I had a quick dinner at the restaurant before the nearby show (which was a 5 minute walk to the SPAC. Dinner was delicious and the staff was superb. I will most definitely stay here again when I return to Saratoga Springs.

This property has a great pool and golf course on site, Beautiful grounds and walking trails inside the state park. The shuttle to and from the track/downtown also makes the stay really enjoyable. Its a well run shuttle with competent staff. Buffet breakfast is worth a try.

I splurged on this event and stay and it was beyond my expectations and I got even happier when I found out it was on the list of the most haunted places in the United States I didn't know that before we stayed on the 5th floor and it was nice sadly I didn't see a ghost but maybe next year when we go back, because we're definitely going back, it was worth every penny there was not anything out of place the staff was wonderful they were helpful. I do think my favorite part though was the king size bed it was so comfortable I woke up and nothing hurt and I just wanted to lay there all day.

Walking back after a concert is well worth the stay in of itself. Location is beautiful and perfect. Staff were excellent, 9.5. Facility was excellent considering it's historical age. Could use a few aesthetic upgrades but minor. Restaurant was excellent
