"It was a quick two night stay in a basic motel. We weren’t there to stay in the room other than to sleep, so we just needed a clean, safe place. It’s very convenient to Cherokee attractions and to Sylva. We were there to see Grand Funk and to visit the authentic Native spots. It was fairly quiet and it was clean. It’s a basic, no frills motel. There is a pool if you want to swim."

"The cabin feels very remote as you can't see any neighbors and is beautifully finished inside. We appreciated the 3 bedrooms for our family of 4 and enjoyed the hot tub and outdoor space. The management company were very responsive when I couldn't find the lock code. The only miss was not having a dishwasher. As we were only there for 2 days it was ok but longer with a bigger group would have been frustrating. It's also tricky to find if you come the wrong way as you can't make the left turn if you enter from the car scrap yard side. Make sure you come in from the mobile home side and then you easily see the house number and cash make the run up the steep driveway."

"Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We were able to spend a wonderful week at the Sweet Haven VRBO in Cherokee, NC. The house was just outside town, in the treed hilly area near Cherokee. It had 2 bedrooms and 2 baths, a dining area, kitchen and great room. it was comfortable, and with a fenced yard, it was great for our dog. She was able to run around safely and chase fireflies. There is also a car port, so our car was covered from the elements. There is a firepit, although we did not use it, but the weather was nice enough to sit outside with few mosquitoes to bother us. The only thing lacking was a dishwasher (not really needed for just the 2 of us), but having ice trays would have been nice to be ab le to make ice for our travel water bottles. The setting of the house is very nice, with trees around and shade in the fenced in yard. It was a relaxing trip."

"Overall, we had a good stay and enjoyed our time here, but there were enough issues that I feel future guests should be aware of them before booking. The cabin itself is beautiful and has a lot of potential, but there were several areas where our experience did not match our expectations.When we first arrived, one of the first things we noticed was that some of the dishes appeared dirty and needed to be washed before we felt comfortable using them. This wasn't a huge problem because we could wash them ourselves, but it wasn't the best first impression. Unfortunately, there was only a very small amount of dish soap provided, so cleaning everything was more difficult than it should have been. We also found that one of the kitchen utensils, a spatula, was cracked. It was technically still usable, but it should probably be replaced for future guests.My biggest concern about the property is safety. During our stay, we were unable to find a smoke detector or carbon monoxide detector anywhere in the cabin. We looked because these are important safety features that most people expect to see in any rental property. Not having visible detectors made us uncomfortable, especially when staying somewhere unfamiliar. This is something I strongly feel should be addressed as soon as possible.The hot tub was one of the amenities we were looking forward to most. It was enjoyable enough, but it was much smaller than expected. Two adults can fit in it, but not very comfortably."
