Gulf place features 3 pools (one heated), hot tubs, shuffle boards, BBQ grilling areas, large outdoor amphitheater, walking distance to many cafes, restaurants, boutiques, and deeded beach access directly across the street! Beach Service Info: 30A Shade and Beach Service is available for a fee to all Gulf Place Community owners and guests using your amenity passes! Typical hours of operation are 9am to 5pm. You'll find them in front of the Villas Condominium. The room was clean and we felt comfortable during our stay. As for the ups and downs...the elevator was not working (a downer). My wife and I are in our 70's and dragging our luggage UP the stairs to the second floor (thankfully not the 3rd floor) was a chore. However, when we contacted the property manager he was very apologetic and in spite of the fact that he did not know the elevator was inoperable, he refunded one nights stay to us (an upper)! The property manager even offered to have someone help us with our luggage upon our departure....but, as we explained dragging luggage UP the stairs is much more difficult than allowing Mr. Gravity help us with our luggage on the way down the stairs --no need for him to send the calvary.
