"I visited Villa Maria in 2023 by myself on business and was absolutely stunned with the entire stay. Enough so, I brought my fiance back with me just recently to experience all Villa Maria had to offer. The jungle location, the short beautiful walk to the ocean, comfortable and clean accomodations, to the super friendly management, grounds staff, restaurant staff, and wonderful food and drink, Villa Maria is a great and beautiful experience. Highly recommended. "

"For the most part the staff was friendly and accommodating Nothing to do on the beach which is closed at night for security reasons. If you want to take a romantic walk on the beach at night, it’s the wrong place to go. The food is decent but expensive for the area. The night manager takes kickbacks from the cab drivers openly which comes out of your pocket because those drivers charge you extra extra to make the kickback back. Ride that cost me 90 pesos going out cost 50 pesos coming back in….....
