The view was great! The beds were comfortable, but the bathrooms are very small. Other than that, there was big construction they went on all day.

Air conditioner never worked even after informing the front desk. They did absolutely to remedy the issue! Never offered to move me to another room or even discount the room rate as a concession for poor service. Additionally, I asked for a ride to be arranged to cruise port. Reluctantly arrangements were made for 10:25a for set price, but driver arrived at 10:45a in which there were other folks were going and I was late to the port, plus I was force to pay full price. They treated me poorly. It was a terrible experience!!!

I paid for a room with two balconies of sea view and did not get it and the shower was mildewy and not clean. The hotel needs updating and the elevator is for one person! I will not stay there again nor suggest anyone else to stay there.

Beautiful!
Beautiful location! Love that it has its own restaurant. The only glitch we had was the lack of taxi availability unless it was for an airport shuttle. It’s a 20 minute walk to the train station.

Sleepy Sea-side Stay
We enjoyed our stay at this hotel. As Canadians, the employees of the hotel spoke great English and were patient with any questions we had. The hotel is a bit outdated, but in its cleanliness still presented a quaint welcoming front. The complimentary breakfast exceeded our expectations, and we thoroughly enjoyed our time relaxing on the beach for the day.

Easy check in. Beautiful, clean hotel right by the water. Was offered chairs and an umbrella. Was perfect to relax for the day before heading back to the US after a cruise. Staff was very friendly, too.

The hotel needs a lot of updating. Some of the walls had holes in them, the carpet was old and our toilet needed to be repaired when we got there. The location is deceiving. There is no beach, only rocks. There is nothing to do, other than drive to Civitavecchia for entertainment. However, the staff at the hotel was amazing. Friendly and helpful.

Quiet seaside hotel.
Very relaxing hotel with fantastic views of the water. Quiet with beach access/pool and hotel restaurant. Limited places to eat since hotel is not in a busy location. Approximately 15 taxi ride to cruise port. Rooms were clean and comfortable with plenty of space for a family of four. Breakfast in the morning was included and was continental style. Would go back.

The hotel is quite outdated though it made up in its location and cleanliness. The room is quite spacious for our stay (2 people) with 1 queen bed and 1 twin bed. Noted that the room comes with a tiny fridge which is hardly keep anything cold and there is no iron for your clothes in the room. Hence, if you wish to do so you will need to walk to the other side of the premise and access a shared room where they keep the iron and iron board for all guests to use. Also, it worths notice that the staff is not very fluent English speaking and some of them are not quite patience/helpful in our experience. In addition, it's very difficult to get around if you plan to stay for a while. In that case, I would suggest you plan ahead and rent a car to get around. There is ONLY one taxi company in town and they are overloaded. We tried to order the cab once and they didn't even pick up the phone that tells you how that could be troublesome. Overall, Santa Marinella is a very peaceful and lovely place to visit but since it's not yet tourist friendly, you should definitely do your research and plan ahead before coming to visit. Check in was easy rooms were ready. Property was under renovation and this was not mentioned when booking it was clean but no coffee in the morning unless we paid 2 Euros each breakfast was 10 Euros Day staff not nearly as friendly as evening staff. No bar or restaurant pictures are deceiving but lobby was large and spacious. Not much was in easy walking distance 20 minute walk to everything but restaurant across street which had bar under renovation and wouldn’t serve us without dinner. Probably would not stay again.

Perfect quiet spot to relax after a busy tour!
We had stayed in 6 different hotels while traveling Italy, very similar accommodations at all the properties. The room and overall hotel was very clean and we had a sea view which was very nice, the beach and pool were excellent to relax, very quiet and not much else to do but relax in Santa Marinella which was perfect after a very busy 12 day tour of the whole country!

Chill out by the sea
Not sure if it is a 4 star hotel, but it was clean and tidy with a lovely pool, little private beach and cracking view of the sea. Breakfast was fine, with a little bit of choice. Very good WIFI in the hotel. Not always a fluent English speaker at reception but good enough to get by. Very relaxing short stay.

Hotel is in need of lots of renovations. Looking dated and a bit run down, fantastic views from front rooms. Breakfast is ok. Pool is great but it’s salt water. DO NOT ATTEMPT TO WALK INTO THE SEA OFF THE BEACH THERE ARE LOTS OF SEA URCHINS ON THE PEBBLES.
