The view from the hotel is outstanding! When we arrived we just sat on the balcony and watched the light change over the bay. Sunday night we had fireworks across the bay that were clearly visible through the full height accordion windows that were open. We opted for the shuttle ride to the ferry for two reasons; the parking in Santa Margherita is limited and meeting someone on the single track road can be a challenge! That said, we never met anyone when we were driving up off the main road.
The staff was very attentive and their English is much better than our Italian. We enjoyed both breakfast and dinner at the restaurant.
Our balcony room was on the third floor which we would recommend. The room is one of three above the restaurant, each with a balcony. The room is equipped with a split unit and the operation was quiet. We did not really need it in October but it would be a welcome plus in the summer if the wind were not blowing.
We would definitely return here!
